Word has it that the Tiger outfield is Upton, Collins, and Presley (L-R). With Mahtook and Moya on the bench. WOW!!!!
Is Collins the guy that gave the Detroit home crowd the finger?

I understand that many fans still give Collins the bird at Tiger stadium, especially when they announce his name. The sad thing.....no major league team should be announcing his name as part of a lineup.

"Batting 7th for our Mud Hens and playing LF, Tyler "The Bird" Collins". That is what Detroit should have aimed for this season.

#1 what? Certainly not a legit #1 starting pitcher on a team with legit playoff hopes.

I've seen worse ... our division is a no brainer:

Cleveland is an easy favorite, best team and best manager. That does not make them a lock, and the Tigers have the 2nd best team. If there was any team I would count out it would be Minnesota, but Minnesota has surprised me in the past.

A couple more days and things will become clearer.

Good thing royals and indians going to have a down year. Tigers might have a slow start

Interesting view doug. I can see a slow start by Detroit as it might take awhile for the offense to mesh, due to JD's injury and cold weather, and the fact that their bullpen (likely to be used a lot early) looks like crap. However, I wonder why you see a down year for Cleveland? Could you detail where their team will fail? (As for KC - they will be as good, or as bad, as their questionable rotation allows them to be)

He was so good. Probably the best reliever in the history of the Twins. After Tommy John surgery, he just wasn't the same guy anymore. You got him at the end of his career.

Don't think there's much doubt about that.

Tiger's outfield a total mess. They waived one time top prospect Steven Moya today. The also assigned Alex Presely (who hit over .400 this spring) to Toledo. Currently the outfield has Upton in left and some combination of JaCoby Jones, Tyler Collins, and Mikie Mahtook in center and right.

There is still hope that Detroit adds a veteran outfielder (Pagan, Bourn, Al Kaline, Kirk Gibson, or Ron LeFlore) that would be an up-grade to that mix before opening day.
