Need to get as many of these early season victories as we can while we can still surprise teams. Soon people will realize we're a very skilled team and won't be caught flat-footed.

Hall has gotten some great chances but goalies have robbed him. I too question the shot totals. I didn't think the Ava got 41 and the buffalo game total seemed more legit. Not sure I trust the leafs getting 50 but 20 of them came on the power play hopefully we don't take 9 penalties a night.

I'm very happy with nico so far minus the no goals but he's 18 and no mcdavid so I'm not holding it against him. He's fast and he knows where to go. It will come

i saw that. i was hoping he would make the team out of camp but so far it doesn't seem the team needs him right now so its probably best for his development to stay in the ahl anyway.


bratt is coming up on his 9 game limit. do the devils keep him? my guess is that they wont they will send him down/back

Unless he completely plays opposite of what we have seen so far, I think Bratt stays in the lineup. He is our leading scorer. Guy came out of nowhere.

What justification would there be? Who would take Blatt's spot?

He played his well into the opening lineup and he's playing his way into the season IMO.

If I'm not mistaken the rules apply differently for guys that played in Europe so the 10 game thing wouldn't matter. We can bounce him up and down from the AHL all we want. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong on that.

Mojo had one really bad turnover in our end, Zacha took a careless high sticking penalty against the Caps that led to a 4 min PP, then takes one early in this game, not sure about Hayes.

Above all else, can't be mad about a 4-1 start. Although, as has been said already, teams will start adjusting to the new look Devils. We'll have to see if the Devils themselves can then adjust to playing different styles of games. I think last night was a good sign, with the Rags playing a slower game in which scoring chances were at a premium. As I watched last nights game, especially early on, I thought to myself, "This must be how annoyed teams were to play the Devils of the 90's 00's."

rangers were all over the devils in the first period and with kinkaid in net i really thought the wheels were going to fall off when they went up 1-0. surprised they held in there and got the W it wasn't a flashy fun fast game which i'm glad the devils could gut it out and get the win.

the penalties have to stop it killed them in the caps and it almost cost them in this game and honestly the game against the leafs it should've cost them.
