By the way, I purchased a 1998 VW Cabrio for my 2nd daughter last week for the cool price of $2300, I think I scored some pretty major dad points based on the smile on her face.

Hey @forty_three, this Canadian kid Lance Stroll is getting tons of hype as the F1 season is about to start down in Oz. Can he live up to the hype?

Hey @forty_three, this Canadian kid Lance Stroll is getting tons of hype as the F1 season is about to start down in Oz. Can he live up to the hype?

He's in a mid-pack car, so realistically his best hope is to spend two or three years finishing ahead of whoever his teammate is and getting a ride in one of the big teams. In fact, the seat he got was vacated by Valterri Bottas who outperformed his teammate for two years and just wound up taking the seat that the reigning world champion backed out of to retire.

He should have a good year, and I am thinking about going to the Canadian GP just to see how those people party with a local who isn't Jacques Villeneuve levels of unlikable out there. :thumb:

Long term, I think he's going to be a star.

His teammate is Felipe Massa. Massa is Portuguese for “will always finish behind his teammate”.

no Bo Horvat ... his agent was telling him not to go until he signed a new deal with the canucks ... benning was apparently meeting with them to talk deal so he could go to the worlds

so expect a 6 year 42 shmill contract for bo soon :gaah:

I see Jayson Menga didn't make the initial cut.

Johnny Hockey is heading over to the World Hockey Championships for Team USA - I guess we can put to rest his disappointing play in the playoffs was injury related.

Pretty good playoffs for somebody who needs wrist surgery.
