What killed Alabama was 3rd down efficiency.

I miss the days of methodical drives that just couldn't be stopped as they ate off 8 minutes on the clock to finish the game for the win.

Yep, long methodical drives will move the yard sticks, eat up the clock and keep your defense off the field. Bama had a hard time converting 3rd down plays and their defense couldn't stop Clemson.

??? Held them to 14 points through 3 quarters and 7 of them came off a drive that started inside our 45. Our Offense couldnt give them rest so our pass rush was neutralized in the 4th quarter and even then it took some unbelievable catches for them to win. The defense played their hearts out.

The Bama's defense might have played their hearts out, but you might want to check out the stats. Clemson got 550 total yards to Bama's 473. Clemson got 31 first downs to Bama's 18. Bama's defense might have played well in the first 3 quarters, but unfortunately the game was 4 quarters long.

I voted for Alabama (after the fact), because I would have voted for them before.

After time to reflect on the game, this may not have been the greatest college game ever. However, because of what was on the line (National Championship) it has to be considered The Best Ever. Great game that kept me on the edge of my seat until the last play. Thank you Alabama and Clemson. Everybody won (except Alabama - I am not a snowflake and neither is the Alabama Football Program).
