Murray's being the more aggressive player. Novak can't generate enough pace on the clay to throw him off and Andy is hitting it deep enough to stop Novak from playing the angle games well. Andy is basically playing the Wawrinka model, and it is working very well.

Very nice of Nole to give Andy that first set knowing he was going to destroy him the rest of the match

I was hoping this match would be as good as the women's final. Looks pretty one-sided right now.

For Murray not to compete in any of these final 3 sets was pretty sad

Going to be tough. He's 29. I read somewhere that the most major any male player won after the age of 30 was 2 and only 2 players reached that.

I think the better question is will he get the year grand slam this year? Who the hell is beating him at Wimbledon? I see no reason why he doesn't enter the US Open with a chance at the grand slam.

Same here. Never know though. Someone could serve lights out and beat him. Also, Fed could beat him too. If he wins I think he wins the US Open easier.

As far as his age, He is in much better shape than most at that age. Also, he may have a couple more before he turns 31.

Bryan Bros into the French Open finals

That 2nd set tiebreak was good. They were up, then tied, and still won it.

I think I like doubles on clay more than other surfaces, because the points are longer. So it's easier to get into a point, and a match.

On other surfaces, points are over too quickly.

That French Open final was probably the highest-quality women's match in at least a decade. With the technological advances, it might be the highest quality match ever. The only real weakness was the double faults. The groundstroke rallies were intense. And Garbine probably became the first woman to beat an in-form Serena in a slam final.

Lol.

I do like intense groundstroke rallies.

But that final didn't click for me.

It was a clean match outside of the double faults. I agree with that. Players were hitting winners, rather than making errors.

Maybe what I mean is I didn't like watching Muguruza in that Final. I came in, thinking she would be fun to watch in the match.

And yet, I like watching Stosur or Venus on clay, whose style is not too different.

I went into the Final, maybe thinking I'd root for Muguruza if she stepped up. But, Serena just had more variety in her game, with the angles she would use.

Muguruza out-muscled Serena, but in a safe controlled way. That type of game is more fun to watch on other surfaces IMO.

I also think it would have been cool to see Serena finally repeat the FO, and tie Steffi with at least 4 majors at every slam. I think those two, would have been as fun for me, then the 22.

(I've also said before I think Steffi would have rebounded against Seles had Seles not gotten injured, because I think great rivalries sometimes have periods where one player dominates, then the other side responds, but those are discussions for other threads.)

Serena will need to start working on just about every part of her game more, or this is going to keep happening.

She can't just depend on the serve anymore.

Nice seeing new blood win. I like Muguruza.

I thought Serena returned well, and at times could still create better angles.

Agreed. We might have just seen a changing of the guard after a straight sets win. Garby didnt really play her best but she managed to overcome her issues to beat a legend.

Will like to see Garby start making finals in the other slams. As I mentioned earlier, she does well at the French so its not a surprise here. She just needed to keep her nerves in check. I expect a good result at Wimby too. Its on hard courts she seems to struggle for some reason.

She made the Wimbledon Finals last year.

Agree she struggles on hard courts, so far on her short career.
