I made it past Christmas before even looking too deeply into this years draft as it effects the Flyers.

As it stands right now the Flyers have the:
One 1st round pick, two 2nd round picks, one 3rd round pick, one 4th round pick, one 5th round pick, two 6th round picks, one 7th round picks.

That is 5 picks in the top 100, 3 picks in the top 60.
This will undoubtedly change as I am sure some players are moved out at the deadline and then the trade frenzy at the draft itself.

This draft is supposed to be fairly deep. There is the obvious #1 in Auston Matthews, several exceptional players in Europe, some 2nd generation talent in Jacob Chychrun and Matthew Tkachuk. All in all this is the kind of draft where the scouting department can find the B+ players who might get overshadowed.

We need to restock our wingers (especially left wing) just the way we did our defense.

Puljujarvi, Laine, Tkachuk, or Nylander would be nice. Plenty of offensive talent at the top of the draft

i'm sucked in. a top 5 pick would be phenomenal.

if not, Julien Gauthier has my attention.

It's been the same excuse the past few years, but this year I really think we'll be too good to "tank." Expecting something around 12th overall, but a top 8 pick or so would do wonders for the forwards. With two 2nds and 3rds we'll at least have ammo to trade up.

Yeah that's what I think will happen - they'll go on one or two more runs where they win 4 or 5 in a small stretch and then they give it back up within a week like they have the whole season

The thing is, if the Flyers would go on a semi-prolonged slump, they could fall in no time because a lot of teams are close in the standings right now - what keeps them "in it" is winning four or five in a row after losing three or four straight - they're either great or horrible

Sigh...as hard as it is to say this, the Flyers need to add some size. Not so much on the blue line, but center...after the top need of LW.

3rd and 4th lines need to get bigger for us to compete or at least if we stay small in those spots they need to produce points.

Just did a little snooping, now that the Trade Deadline has passed. Th Flyers are holding 10 picks. They have their 7 picks plus additional picks in the 2nd, 3rd and 6th rounds. I don't see them with a top 10 pick the way they are playing (which is kinda fun) but I do see the flexibility to bundle and move around in the draft. (never count on it but it is nice to dream). I think I have officially drunk the Hexy Kool-aid. The potential for up to 10 new prospects in the fold. 5 in the top 120 picks! That is how organizational depth is built.

As it stands the Flyers pick 17th, 48th, 56th, 78th, 84th, 108th, 138th, 168th, 174th, 198th.

Five in the top 100. In a draft that is deep, but not historic, this could/should continue the restocking that Hexy has been working on since taking over.

I know more names than scouting reports currently, but my choice as of right now is Kunin

the more research i do the more i agree with Kunin. someday i will disagree with you on the draft 4706.

Kieffer Bellows is my other like.
