Going through the draws though. First thing that really caught my eye is that Dimitrov and Fed can meet in the 3rd round

Most interesting 1st round matches IMO are the following:

Tsonga/Baghdatis
Kei/Kohlschreiber
Nadal/Verdasco
Isner/Janowicz

Sock has a great chance to make it to the 3rd round against Stan.

Murray, Rafa, and Novak should all walk to the 2nd week of the tournament. Would be pretty surprise if any of those 3 drop more than a set in their first 3 matches. Wouldn't be surprise if they all win in straight sets during the first week

Sock and Bautista Agut looking in great form heading into the Aussie Open.

Sock has defeated Ferrer and Anderson while Bautista Agut defeated Isner and Tsonga.

They face off tonight. I like Sock chances to make it to the 2nd week

Day 1 schedule is out. Serena and Novak on Laver in the day session. Fed and Stosur in the night session. Other night matches tomorrow include Tsonga/Baghdatis, and Kyrigos in action as well in the night.

Looking forward to Kei vs Kohlschreiber

Schedule of Play - Schedule - Australian Open Tennis Championships 2016 - Official Site by IBM

Kohlschreiber is a pain in the ass. He can beat the top players when he is on. Noone wants to see him early. DOnt really care who wins this one. Hoping Verdasco can beats Rafa though.

I remember he beat Roddick here during the prime of Roddick's career in the 3rd round or R16. He also always beats Isner at the US Open when he faces him. I'll be shocked if that's not a 4 or 5 set match

Pretty shocking to me that just about everyone on espn.com has Azarenka winning the title. Only 2 people had Serena winning

Strange, I would have to see Vika out there first. Maybe they have seen her in practice. All I know is the only time she was a threat to the top players is when she was in peak physical shape. If she is still fat then she is not going anywhere.

I am waiting for the some of the women to take their game to the next level. Serena wont be around too much longer and womens tennis will be horrid if everyone else stays at the level they are. I would have thought Muguruza would be a major threat by now. Madison Keys too.

I doubt I would watch any Women's tennis when Serena leaves unless shit improves ASAP

sock does fine in best of 3 matches

he's not fit enough to hang with big time players consistently in best of 5 matches, and it would be a massive accomplishment for him to make the 2nd week

For those of you who have ESPN3, I would suggest watching on ESPN3 as they have all coverage for every court
