I think we made an avatar bet on opening night about whose team would win more games, with the avatar chosen being used throughout the playoffs(or a few weeks I can't remember).

I was happy when the Showtime Lakers run was finally over. I hope this doesn't sound biased but I like the current version of the Lakers much better than any of their winning ones.

I was thinking about doing it- but then i read a couple articles detailing how like at least half of the entries for everything are dorks that live their parents basement with algorithm's and models that enter dozens of contests a day and just grind it out.

If it was just amateur's having fun- id be more prone to do it. As is- it seems kind of a sucker bet to a certain extent. It does look like fun though.

They have different levels, and there are "pros" who make 50,000 lineups a day.
I play for fun, small money, and win some lose some.
If you are going to spend the day watching playoffs games it def makes it more fun IMO.
There are some contests that only allow 1 entry per person.

why?

He gets to be a hero to those people and spend another year in college- instead of being a pro. That sounds great to me. Unless he is seriously dis-advantaged economically -- why not? As a teenage kid- staying on campus another year instead of busting my ass against pro's sounds fun. Being the BMOC instead of the end of the totem pole...

Next year's draft is supposedly not nearly on the level of this years draft either. He could easily go top 3 next year while this year he is not a guarantee to be in the top 10.
