I'm starting a new 2015 thread. We have some 2015 mixed in with the old thread so I'll recap. As of today, we sit at 17 recruits.

Rivals has us at #48 right now. For the B1G, we are #8.

Looks like Scout has some of these guys rated higher.

it really doesn't matter, what matters is how they pan out in the future, while I am excited to get great kids, and see Iowa players in the NFL (Green Bay is pretty much Iowa north with Daniels, Bulaga and Hyde), the bottom line is that all this means nothing when it comes to wins.


Our trophy case is bare (lost Cy Hawk, lost Floyd, lost Heartland, lost whatever that thing is with Nebraska) and we have to play FCS teams to be bowl eligible most years.


As much as I hated to see Ross Redenbacher go to Bama, why wouldn't he? #1 team in the nation and a stout team year in year out, only negative is if you can't go pro, what kind of education do you have to get a job, but I am sure the alumni and boosters can help out there.

Rivals says Iowa has chosen to part ways with QB commit Jack Beneventi. Not gonna be a Hawkeye.

That's actually great news, I heard he has regressed so badly that he's now throwing more INTs than TDs.....in high school, ugh.

So we rush in and scoop up Dominic Christian out of Chicago from a slew of MAC schools..

meanwhile, Raequan Williams, a defensive end from the Chicago area, elected to play for the Michigan State Spartans over Iowa, didn't figure we would get him

and the decommits begin, Juan Harris, class of 2017 though, but he committed in December, decommits today...5 star potential, going to Alabama likely

Very unfortunate. I was already beginning to think we'd never see Markel in a Hawkeye uniform and this sounds like it pretty much seals it. I'm kind of surprised he hadn't already decided to go to a school with lower academic standards..

Just a 2 star, but he has the body to be good and follow in Daddy's footsteps, or he could be a bust, who knows, but nice to get a kid away from ISU. I think he will be good.

So updating ahead of next week's signing day, skipping the stars cause at this point, who cares, we do not have any 5 star guys and that is ok, we just need kids that want to play ball:
