1 (31) - Chris Shaw (1B) (-500K)
3 (95) - Jalen Miller (SS) (+500K)

The Giants inked two of their top picks today. They got Shaw for about 500K below slot and they transferred that to Miller, who signed for about 500K over slot.

In most pre-draft rankings, both players were ranked somewhere in the 40-60 range.

5 (156) - Ronnie Jebavy (CF) (-80K)
6 (186) - Steven Duggar (CF) (slot)
8 (246) - Cory Tayler (RHP) (+17K)

I am having trouble finding this information this year. I will need to check my older machines to check some old links I used in the past.

So far, from what I have been able find, we are doing rather well. 6 of our top 9 picks are in the fold. Miller and Marshall reportedly both had some signability issues, so getting both of them done early is very nice. Apparently Bickford is perceived as a bit of an odd bird, so it is hard to tell if he is a signability guy or not.

I prefer to call him Ford Philbick

All but pick #2 (in the top 11) has signed already - that's nice.

Missing Bickford (our first #1) as well.

But yes, they are doing a good job getting everyone signed up.

Where did you find this news? None of the sites I have used in the past are updating for this years class. Also, I do not see anything regarding these players signing.

Send Luca Brasi. He'll get a guaranteed contract for a certified check of $1000.

On DrBs site, they are saying Suarez signed today, and Bickford has every intention of signing with the Giants. No sources were given, but those guys are usually pretty straight up...

Looking at the signing numbers (Slot) it almost appears they are trying to save on some slots to get everybody signed.

I have my sources....

but really a friend of mine is real up to date on this stuff. I don't know where he gets his information, but I trust him.

I have seen independent confirmation of all top 10 rounds except Bickford. And again, I have heard that he has every intention of signing.

I have found nothing on rounds 11+, though.

I cant find anything about this, but assuming it is correct, the Giants have done a HELL of a job with this class, even if they are done.

They got their first 12 picks in the fold, and 14 of their first 15.

I am sure they will sign a handful of the remaining kids, but all he heavy lifting has been done.

Well done!!

His former 14 and under coach spilled the beans. Nothing is official yet I guess, but I would expect news tomorrow morning.

12 rounder Hector Santiago (a HS catcher) and 20th rounder Travis Eckert (RHP form OSU) are the top draftees still unsigned.

The next question is where will they go? I'm thinking Bickford goes to the AZL. Shaw to Salem. Suarez to Salem.

Jalen Miller has made his debut for the AZL, among other draftees.

Jebavy and Vizcaino have debuted for Salem.

Is there really much difference between AZL and Salem? Salem actually travels, so I would assume that is slightly more advanced (more "professional"), but I am not sure there is a major talent difference between the two levels.
