I remember when we played ECU every year people said it was for recruiting...at the time we had no one from NC or SC...now that we are in the Big 12 we seem to be doing some damage down there...just sayin

Late on Friday night, Miami Killian (FL) cornerback Sheldrick Redwine gave his verbal commitment to West Virginia, choosing the Mountaineers over Cincinnati, Marshall, Central Florida and more.
"Coach (JaJuan) Seider talked to me a lot and told me they would really like me up there," said the 6-foot-2, 190-pound prospect. "He said I could have a chance at playing early... They're also a prestigious academic school." Redwine gives West Virginia ten verbal commitments, making the Mountaineers the first program in the country to reach double digits in the 2015 class.

Having lived in South Carolina for 40+ years it is indeed huge to be getting interest from the kids down this way, especially from SC. Historically, any decent High School talent was assumed to stay in state. The only question was "Clemson or SC". It was a virtual lock. Most recent examples are Clowney, Sammy Watkins and Marcus Latimore. The SEC and ACC of course are strong contenders for this talent rich state, so it is big time to be pulling kids out of here.

I think #WVU might be the team to watch for South Florida QB Lamar Jackson now that #Nebraska took Kevin Dillman. #Clemson there too

Lamar Jackson is 4 star dual-threat QB (6'3",185lbs) recruited by Cogdell...he also has offers from Auburn, FSU, Oregon, and Akron. This would be a huge pick up and continues to show how important Cogdell has been so far in the south Florida recruiting scene.

That is what i am thinking, but trying to stay positive on the matter....I think this kid could come in and start day 1 IMO. Maybe he will suprise us and keep his commitment.
