As explained in the Team-by-Team Thread, I am planning on making a thread every four days for a different team. The first few posts will be questions, requests for predictions, etc. There will be a poll unless I don't feel like making one. Some teams are less interesting than others. Please participate in posting articles, predictions, etc.

Johnny Football is started by the halfway point and I think he does well

Top 10 defense and bottom 30 offense

I'm optimistic, if we get just average QB play I feel like we can be an 8-8 football team with an outside chance at a wildcard spot....but we're the Browns and we'll find a way to fuck something up.

I have no doubt if Cleveland's owner would've butted out and let the GM pick Bridgewater that they would be a playoff team this year. If i'm a fan i'd be very angry with Haslam the owner. They have a top ten defense and sadly all they really need is a QB. Unfortunately i don't think Manziel/McCown are the answer. I think they would've been better off keeping Hoyer. With Hoyer i think they could've been a potential playoff team.

4-12, everyone is fired.
Next year they go 6-10 and look like they're improving
Then they go 4-12 again, and everyone is fired
The following year they go 6-10 with an up and coming quarterback, and look like they're improving
The following year they go 4-12, the quarterback throws 30 interceptions, and everyone is fired
After that, they go 6-10 with an underrated 4th round quarterback
But they're still the Browns, so 4-12 and everyone gets fired.

They will be better than last year, but their schedule is more difficult (on paper). Going with the same record as last year: 7-9.

Browns are in a viscous cycle of taking two steps forward and taking one backwards...the DEF looks poised to be strong again in spite of losing Taylor...but instead of building on what Hoyer brought LY with Bowe Hartline Hawkins and say the Phillips Dorsett kid from the draft, they choose a C who is most likely going to be a depth guy this yr and if Mack leaves in '16 he takes over is the plan I have heard.

But... they bring in another vet QB...at best a lateral move, but imo Hoyer is better...why start over with pretty much the same skillset at QB?

6-10 is about right imo because they just don't have a consistent player at the QB position.

Have you ever seen the movie Groundhog Day where Bill Murray keeps reliving the same day after day? Well that's kinda what the Browns have been doing for 17 years now.:L

Our annual Cards away game is going to take us to Cleveland this year. Just got my tix at a pretty reasonable priced considering the seats.

Never been to Cleveland before. Looking forward to the rock n roll HOF and the pro football HOF.

Both places are worth checking out, I'm originally from Akron. Been to both places many times. And you're in luck, w/ a Nov. 1 game the weather should be pretty decent.

I hear ya...the only thing that makes sense to me...I think Hoyer thought this was going to be his Matt Flynn moment and over played his hand on a contract. Maybe that turned somebody off in the FO and they decided to go another direction.

I don't think that idiot owner wanted Hoyer. That jackass Haslam has a man-crush on Johnny College. Which means he'll be losing games for the Browns before ya know it.

Defense will be top 5, but end-of-year stats may not reflect that. Offense will move the ball well at times, struggle mightily others, but struggle to score regardless. They have a pretty brutal schedule, so could be improved, and still end up with a top 5 pick.
