apparently the Gator Bowl is now the Taxslayer bowl...slotted to the 5th to 7th place team in the Big Ten, hmm...I don't think so, we should be geared up for the Outback or Capital One bowl and why would they change the name? Make it Taxslayer Gator Bowl at least, boo to these stupid corporations, even the Cap One bowl...ugh, how about Orlando Bowl or find something catchy, this is not NASCAR

News about players...Barkley Hill is gone, so is AJ Jones...Blake Haluska (brother of Adam) is out due to shoulder injury

Not too surprising to see Hill go. The stable seems full, but at Iowa, I don't think you can have too many RBs in the stable. I wish him well as he joins UNI. I think he'll do well for them.

they said he would be eligible to play right away, but I know they have David Johnson, who is from my Iowa hometown of Clinton so I am guessing he will spell him and be the RB next year

David Johnson is a stud. Iowa wanted him to walk-on - and pay his way. The kid is from a very poor family and there was no way, the family could pony up the money for an education. If my memory serves me correctly, UNI would have beaten North Dakota this year if he DJ didn't get hurt that game.

Iowa is looooooaaaaaddddded at running back this season, I was actually expecting more to transfer.
