You play each team in your pool once and whichever team has the most wins advances to the championship. If it is a 2-way tie, the head-to-head matchup determines who advances. If it is a 3 way tie, the team that is seeded the highest advances.

Yep, they are just a shitty program. They were on the right track with Pete Hughes, but they were so worried about being a football first school, Hughes sought greener pastures in Oklahoma because the AD refused to upgrade the baseball facility. The new AD Whit Babcock seems to have a plan in place with the hiring on Buzz for the basketball program, but it will be interesting to see if they can keep him if he is successful in Blacksburg, because like their baseball facilities, their basketball facilities are not hitting on much either.

It's kind of confusing.

If FSU beats UVa tomorrow and UNC beats UVa tonight and Maryland tomorrow, there will be a 3 way tie and FSU will advance due to being the higher seed.

UVa beat UNC, so Maryland will play in championship.
The Duke/Miami game will decide who the other participant will be. If Duke wins, then they advance. If Miami wins, then GT advances.

not a fan of the current pool play setup. it would be better if they advanced all the 2-1 teams to semifinals and did single elimination from there.
