It's looking like we'll be opening up Oct 9th in Philly (2nd game of a back to back for them)

Home opener is Oct 18th against San Jose. Kinda strange.

Guess we'll be on the road for the first 4 games or so..full schedule released tmrw at 4pm.

Aren't you glad we play all those western conference teams twice.

Talk about a stale home opener. That will draw 13,500. If the devils are on a 0-4 skid make it 12,800.


Gotta love the NHL pushing divisional play and stuff esp in the playoffs but still get 2 weak games against the west.

Why not make it 4 games against a single western division?

Having the opener on a Saturday helps..gotta think if we have a strong offseason the building will he pumped.

Likely Florida trip after opening in Philly..Oct 11th against the Panthers so prob the Lightning after that.

Knowing the NHLs ass backwards scheduling well have 5 days off before facing the Sharks

i dont buy into the whole back to backs being an issue.

if they are then you have to blame lou for building a team is veeeeeeeeeeeery old. you should always be looking to have a healthy mix of youth with a touch of vets. jagr and elias are not youthful.

also since majority of the games are played in the east these "back to backs" aren't that much travel

Wow, 2011-12 Devils had just about half as many miles as the Panthers. That is just insane. Scheduling algorithm needs serious work.
