I took Torres as the starter since we wil be facing Kershaw on opening day. Torres kills against lefties.

I agree about Lyons, but I would actually PREFER Hembree to get that last spot.

I have a hard time seeing Gonnor on the opening day roster. His D is sub-par; his power is near non-existent; and his contact is below average. Other than that, he has a bright future, though. Politically, though, he may get one last look-see before he is shown the door, and he is out of options, while Peggs and Kieschnick still have some. I have a hard time believing a guy who has been as successful as Tanaka has been would come to a team where he could lose out to a guy like Gonnor.

Looks like the spots are going to Noonan, Gaudin and either Peguero or Gillespie. Hector Sanchez is expected to be ready as is Pablo Sandoval.

My guess is the Giants are going to keep Gillespie up and let Peggs play everyday. They see him as more of a potential starter, while Gillespie is a career backup. Going to AAA would do little for Cole, but it could help Fanky Peggs.

Yup, I jumped the gun a bit on Gillespie. Giants are going to carry 3 catchers, Posey, Sanchez and Quiroz. Both Pablo and Hector are active. Gaudin makes last pen spot.

But none of the 4 are starters or major pen guys. That's kind of standing pat....same rotation, lineup, key pen guys

Torres is likely getting the opening day start and will be a serious part of a platoon. Not a full starter, but close enough.

Be careful you guys, it is still early. Stuff like this could get you on the DL this early in the season.
