2012 Recruiting final push

Hearing that a few recruits will definitely have to prep next year, not sure who yet.. details to come. Adrian Gamble has spent the year at FUMA and will be ready in the summer.

As the 2012 recruiting final push is upon us there are really only a few recruits that we are still expressing interest in: Stefon Diggs, Imani Cross and Divante Walker. Which are all long shots. Now all we can do is hope for no last minute decommitments.

It will be interesting to see where recent decommits, Ronald Darby and Kenneth Crawley land. As well as VT leans: Korren Kirven, Ken Ekanem and Joel Caleb.

Although Cross is scheduled to visit Nebraska on the weekend of Jan 20th, Jamie Oakes seems to think Cross will be at UVa that weekend since that is when UVa is having their last big recruiting day.

Cross' father is the one pushing the Nebraska visit, Imani seems to favor UVa.

I really think that the Hoos will morph towards more 2 TE sets, and a guy like Cross has a shot to do some real things in that because of his athleticism and power. It's a coin toss. Either way, it's okay.

Yes rumor is Cross will visit both Nebraska and UVA this weekend. Probably Nebraska Friday and UVA Saturday or Sunday? He visited Kentucky yesterday.

Cross has eliminated UVa. His final 3 are Kentucky, Nebraska and ECU. He gets wowed everywhere he goes, and it looks like he is looking for immediate playing time, which wouldn't happen @ UVa.

We are waiting on Diggs(longshot) and Walker(will probably verbal tomorrow).

I'd imagine an offer will go out this weekend to Trent Corney over the weekend.

There are rumblings that a big time, out of state prospect that is already committed elsewhere has expressed interest in visiting UVa before NSD.

Cross will not be going to Virginia. He appeared ready to make a decision while visiting Kentucky, but is coming to see Nebraska.

This appears to be a two-team race. This is what he told his coach about Kentucky.

"He had a great visit at Kentucky," Christmas said. "He loves Kentucky. He talked about the academic support and the coaching staff and that kind of stuff."
