2012 Hoops Recruiting

As we all know Tony Bennett and the UVA Basketball staff lost two kids due to transfers and are currently looking to add a possible commit to the 2012 class. Philadelphia native and Friends Central School senior Amile Jefferson is receiving major interest from every D1 school including UVA. Tony was seen this week at one his games and has been in contact with Amile. Although Tony has his work cut out for him, in that same week Coach K and Duke were in house to see Amile and recently offered the 6'8" power forward. Amile knows where Tony and UVA stand and we would be welcome to have him. However so would everybody including Duke. Other offers are on the table for a few guys but nothing as big as Amile. I personally think 2012 is done and we should use the extra numbers in 2013.

I'd imagine Teven Jones will eventually accept his offer.

Teven has signed his LOI. He is at Fishburne Military School this season. Will join team in the summer

This will be huge for his development next season. His offense seems to be better than Jontel's, but his defense is worse.

Well you cant be a better defender than Jontel its not possible. He has deadly stroke and serious hops too. Defense is his weakness for sure. TB will have him defending soon enough tho

Justin Anderson was named the Gatorade Maryland Player of the Year. Three years in a row with at least one player of the year from their respected state for TB.
