Interesting. I swore way back they could lock in a very small games that couldn't get flexed by NBC. I'm wondering if that changed just recently.

I think the whole idea of flexing started because they wanted to move games into the late slot. I think flexing around the 1 and 4 PM games without putting one of them at night is the thing that's fairly recent.

I think the only game most people would have a problem with is the OAK game. That's a late night west coast matchup. Meaning everyone on the east coast probably won't be able to watch the entire game.

Regardless of where the game is played, kickoff is 8:20 PM Eastern Time. In Oakland, the game will start at 5:20 PM local time.

As a Saints fan living in NYC, this is great. I am now locked in to see 6 Saints games this year. Also pretty sure I get one of their 425 PM EST games vs the Rams or the Steelers and maybe another one on a random sunday.

Great chance I get 8 Saints games this year

I do like the idea of flexing the 1 pm to the late 4pm slot. The flex to 8pm slot was to rid of games that had become of little interest cause of one team having a down crappy year and replace it with a more meaningful game towards the end of the season.

Panthers usually suck in prime time, the less the better.

I'm fine with 3. Especially with one being a MNF home opener. Feel like that situation lends itself to the home team a bit more than usual even. Especially vs a relatively poor road team in Seattle.

Week 1 on SNF at Lambeau is tough, but the team should be jacked to open up on primetime under a new regime. Packers are the team with something to lose in that game.

Seahawks did OK on the road last year.

Vikings have 4, 1 TNF, 2 SNF, and 1 MNF. I could definitely do without the the Thursday and Monday night games. Honestly, if it were up to me, they'd have the 1pm ET games for all 16 of them. The Thursday night games are just a pain for me to make time for, and I really wish they were done away with entirely except for the season opener and Thanksgiving games.
