Devers becomes the youngest Red Sox player to hit a postseason HR. Broke the record set by Benintendi just last year.

The Bronx was electric last night, place was shaking

Shoulda won this series, just hope to bring it back to Cleveland

Bauer or Tomlin, the bats should come alive tonight

And than we will see if what happened Friday to Kluber was just a blip

Greg Bird becomes the 4th youngest Yankee to hit a HR in an elimination game behind Mantle (Games 6 and 7, 1952 World Series), Joe Pepitone (Game 6, 1964 World Series), and Bill Skowron (Game 6, 1955 World Series).

He was 8 days younger than Robinson Cano when Cano hit a HR 10 years ago, to the day, in Game 4 of the 2007 ALDS against the Indians.

Cant say it enough, he will be special, maybe the most special of the Judge/Sanchez/Bird trio.....You just dont teach that swing, especially in that stadium

Only 3 teams have ever come back from down 0-2 after losing the first two games on the road.

2003 Red Sox over A's
1999 Red Sox over Indians
1995 Mariners over Yankees

Small chance they play.

Not sure if I should like it cause the pen needs a breather, cause it gives the Indians a breather, and Tito is a master of taking advantage of an extra day

And in the history of the "best of 5" series, it's also been accomplished by:

1984 Padres over Cubs
1982 Brewers over Angels
1981 Dodgers over Astros

Friday night is a win if correct decisions and umpire calls are made

Massive credit to the Indians for capitalizing on those brain freezes

Tanaka became the first Yankees pitcher to go 7 IP and allow 0 ER in an elimination game since Mike Mussina in Game 3 of the 2001 ALDS. Yankees were also down 0-2 and also won 1-0 that day.

They'd go on to win the series.

It's also just the 7th time in team history a player has done it. Yesterday, the one already mentioned, and these:

1962 World Series, Game 7, Ralph Terry: Yankees win 1-0
1960 World Series, Game 6, Whitey Ford: Yankees win 12-0
1958 World Series, Game 5, Bob Turley: Yankees win 7-0
1956 World Series, Game 7, Johnny Kucks: Yankees win 9-0
1921 World Series, Game 8, Waite Hoyt: Yankees lose 1-0 (run scored on an error)

Since October baseball is not done in the great Pacific Northwest, because our team is quite the gay, I thought I would contribute to the daily with a couple of family tidbits. You are welcome, in advance.

My 12-year-old daughter wore a dress to church yesterday. First time in 2 years that she's worn a dress. Total tom boy. Hockey, speed skating, rock climbing, baseball, skate boarding. I didn't even know that she knew how to put make up on. She actually did a pretty good job.

My raccoon is starting to show biological signs that he won't be with me much longer. We got him in April when he was just a few weeks old. His momma was road kill and we saw him sort of hiding in bushes off the side of the road. Had to bottle feed him. I've had little raccoons before. The call of the wild starts getting their attention around this time of year and by February, it's time to let them go. I could have him 'biologically altered' and turn him into a family pet, but, no. Not my style. Raccoons weren't meant to be domesticated.
