A lot of Cubs fan are pissed at him even more now after he gave them this performance in an elimination game: October 6, 2007 National League Division Series (NLDS) Game 3, Diamondbacks at Cubs | Baseball-Reference.com
This guy has had a very interesting career. He goes from Cub prospect, to one good year in their rotation, to injury derailed career, to minor league outcast, to scrap heap pickup, to major trade chip, to post season stud. After his one forgettable year with Baltimore, he floated around as an extra arm in the Red Sox organization for 3 years. Amazingly, he did well every time he came up with the Red Sox between 2010 and 2012 but they never gave him a real shot at sticking with the team. Cleveland gives him a chance in 2013 and he does awful. Then he goes over to the Yankees in 2014 and does well again and gets thrown aside. The Red Sox bring him back, again, and only use him in September when they run out of options in the rotation. He looks good but the Red Sox once again let him walk. Wonder if their front office are kicking themselves over the multiple missed opportunities. With that said, he is 36 years old and just now pitching well. Got to wonder if he comes back to earth in 2017.

This is going to be one of the worst WS in years.

The winner will either be the dogs, Cleveland or the curse. There is not a neutral winner in the bunch.

i always have trouble pulling for a NL opponent. There hasn't been enough time since the NBA finals to acknowledge Cleveland. The NLCS is proving to be an entertaining series, just tough to root against both teams and be care about the game. If the doyers get through I'll need to suck it up and go full in for the Indians

Oh yea. ABD above all else.

But it still sucks that I don't want ANY of the teams to win. Last year was fine because I have zero animosity towards either team. Not that I have animosity against the Cubs or Indians, I just like the curse and the drought. I think those are good for both baseball AND American culture in general.

so the cubbie logo in your fan group is because you want the curse to continue? if so, brilliant!

I have a far different view of baseball and the World Series when it comes to rooting for someone to win. Considering our team's 56 year drought (three generations of my family hadn't seen the Giants win something until 2010!) I'm pulling hard for a Cubs-Indians series (I would have also been good with a Nationals-Indians WS but anything versus Giants would be optimal. But I digress). I think it would be much better to see one of those two franchises win it all versus both being in a drought. Really, the only two teams in baseball I have a hard time rooting for at all are the Dodgers and the Yankees.

I can root AGAINST a few teams...

Dodgers
Yankees
A's

Big gap...

Phillies (to a degree: the fans are just despicable)
Marlins (that park is horrendous and I don't like their team-building strategy)

And I like to see the Indian and Cub streaks continue.

I concur 100%....don't like any of those three teams, at all.

Baseball teams I root against, in order:

1. doyers
2. yanka$$
3. bosux
4. A'ss
5. chubbs
6. turdinals
7. tribe

why couldn't the blue jays be playing the nats?

I am not a fan of THIS BJ team. Too much in-your-face cockiness.

I kinda like the Nats, though...

Man, you guys have some chips on your shoulders. Lighten up!

For all the hate on here for the AL, their LCS was incredibly NL-like. The Indians pitching staff posted a collective 0.98 WHIP, 1.43 ERA and 50 Ks in 44 innings. The Blue Jays' staff actually had a better WHIP, 0.79, but they lagged where it counted - ERA, at 2.30. They merely K'd 39 in 43 innings.

Until the AL has to worry about pinch hitting and they care about the ENTIRE 25 man roster, the AL will be the special Ed class.

Dodger bullpen rounding into fine shape.

Yep. I just hope Cleveland can find a way to stop the Cub juggernaut but they are just so good they seem like the rare 'best team' that wins the WS
