Nope, they only had a 14 game season then and you have to go to the SB and win undefeated....

Apparently the Patriots posted a voluntary 15 minute special teams meeting on the team schedule.
NFL says by posting it, that means it is mandatory and therefore illegal.

In other news, it is reported that Belichick drove 1 MPH over the speed limit to get to a team meeting. NFL investigating!
