I saw enough good things from Hurts that I would not consider QB in Rd 1. It was a shortened preseason with COVID, so I'm sure Wentz took 95% or more of those reps to be ready for the season. Hurts only had a handful of plays set up for him going into the season (not even as a passer) ... then...
I hear ya, but we have a potentially really good defender in Matisse Thybulle in waiting; plus Ben and Embiid who are also good defenders ... what we lacked was outside shooting. That's why I love the addition of Curry ... we can replace the D we lost with Matisse.
Richardson was very inconsistent shooting (34% from 3) ... he would have one great game followed by 3 ineffective ones. We need spot up shooters when Ben drives and dishes or when Embiid gets doubled down low and kicks it back out. Richardson is a solid all around player, but not the "scheme"...
I think the Richardson/Curry deal is a win/win for both teams. We desperately need outside shooting to space the floor and Curry fits perfectly as one of the best 3 point shooters in the league. Richardson is solid, but not a great fit on a team with Ben/Embiid as he's not really a 3 point...
Anyone excited about the recent transactions? Still in disbelief that we were able to get rid of the Horford contract. Between shipping out Horford and Richardson we freed up over 11 mil for this season. I'm also stoked to get back Seth Curry who is exactly the type of player we needed to bring...
I don't even know what Doug's scheme is ... slow developing plays? no screens game? no imagination? no extra points? Doug has proven that he was not the guy behind our Super Bowl year.
Team sucks ... I would start from scratch at this point. Good bye Doug. Wentz has shown that he is not a Franchise guy .... maybe a different coach can improve his play? I don't know, but I am no longer giving him the benefit of the doubt. We're married to Wentz, but Doug has to go. Thank you...
This is a must win imo ... Wentz was roasted this week, he needs to respond with a good game. Another clunker from him especially in a very winnable game and he may not want to look at social media for a while. Hopefully our Defense shows up this week since we haven't heard from them since last...
He's making rookie type mistakes and he's all over the place with accuracy. JJAW flat out sucks, I know they spent a high pick on him, but they are forcing him into PT because of that imo. Maybe when Wentz gets on the same page with Reagor and DJax things will get better .... Reagor's a rook and...
I see no fire at all from him this year ... throwing flat footed, mechanics are bad, throwing into coverage, looks slower. Has married life, fatherhood and financial stability sapped his edge? I know it's only 2 games without a preseason, but rookie Justin Herbert from San Diego was thrown into...
OL was bad as expected with the injuries on the right side and Peters looks pretty much done on the Left side. Carson started out well then could do nothing right the rest of the way ... looking for the big play way too often. Held on to the ball way too long knowing this OL was not going to...
Any interest in a 46 year old TO? Phenomenal shape ... still running in the 4.4's.
46-Year-Old Terrell Owens Runs A Blazing Fast 4.42 In 40-Yard Dash Race Against Chiefs' Tyreek Hill
That's a big boost to the interior. Moving inside for a Tackle is a rather seamless transition ... especially for a power tackle like Peters who isn't as nimble as he was in his prime, but is still a bull in the strength department.
Brian Baldinger saying to expect a big move from the Eagles this week ... some are speculating it's re-signing Peters, but anything's possible at this point.
It sounds like there's a good chance (if the price is right) that Clowney may sign with the Eagles. The price would be a 1 year prove it deal between 9-12 mil which would be tremendous value. He wants to play with a winner as he has already turned down bigger money from average to below average...
With our Cap issues and uncertainty at WR I don't think cutting him was ever an option. Hopefully he continues to say and do the right things to remedy the issue.
