Roster for Bayern Munich is awesome for USA tour. I was hoping for this since there were no big tournaments in Europe this summer. I have my ticket for Los Angeles game next week. Looks like it will be well worth the price of admission:
Euro 2020 qualifying in full on mode right now. With all the other soccer, Gold Cup, Women's World Cup, U-20, we forget this is where the real quality soccer is being played...unless you are France lol who took a beat down by Turkey this weekend.
I know there are a few German soccer fans here. German Super Cup today at 11:30 AM PST: Bayern vs Frankfurt. Only channel I get on my cable with the game on is Fox Deportes.
P.S. I see Bayern, Dortmund, Leverkusen, Leipzig in Top 4 this year. Dortmund and Bayern will be closer than last...
Now that the World Cup is over it is Transfer season for the next month so I created a thread to discuss. I'll start with my team Bayern Munich:
Looks like no one wants Boetang for Bayern asking price after his dreadful World Cup. Also, they trying to unload Thiago, Vidal, Bernat. Midfield...
Full on collapse mode here. 6 straight losses and hammered in the last two games. Old guys getting too old? Can't score and now can't stop teams from scoring. Forget how to play hockey all of a sudden? Reminds me of those old teams in the 90's that would go on the SAP road trip and lose...
Well, I remember there was a poll early on here asking if the Sharks would make the playoffs. I said no. I was wrong. So it looks like they are in if they could just win a damn game. Is this a different year? How far do they go? Division Winner might get Chicago. That would be weird. Sharks...
Today is the last day of Ken Hitchcock's coaching career in St. Louis? We'll see. If there is one team that underachieved more in the playoffs than even my Sharks, it is the Blues. Even going back to the Pronger days they continually take a big dump in the postseason.
Horrendous start. Of all people Tootoo. Just standing around watching. And then Sharks underachiever and wasted pick Steve Bernier.
P.S. Just saw the Hotels.com commercial with Captain Obvious. Does Captain Obvious look like Marty Havlat?
Game is over, but.....
This is why nobody cares about this season. Watching last night was exactly like watching the last 4 games of their playoff series last year. Completely owned by the Kings. The only thing the Kings didn't do was change their diapers...again. At the end of 2 periods...
No game thread yesterday, but:
Another underwhelming effort. Columbus 6-10, but two wins against our sewer trout, so quarter of the season just about over:
1) Hertl and Nieto are becoming Jan Caloun very quickly. 4 goals total. Not going to cut it.
2) The youngsters: Goodrow, Hayes...
I'll start:
Thornton and Marleau. Alot of numbers but never in an NHL final. If they don't get traded, it will never happen. Not in San Jose.
Others:
Dominic Wilkins
Marcel Dionne (I think)
Eric Dickerson
