I saw that earlier. That's awesome.
Good for KO...nothing but class. Hope him and his family are happy in Buffalo. Tough turning down the offer the Isles gave him must have been a very hard thi............wait....they never did give him an offer. We suck and are stupid. Never mind.
Thought this was pretty cool regarding the relationship he had with Gretzky:
McNall: I remember calling when the deal was finally done. It was early in the morning and I had to get Wayne to the airport with me to fly on to Edmonton, and it was [his son] Robin who answered the phone. I said...
The bizarre thing about that is that he wasn't even on a weird angle where a misfire would bounce it off the boards in an effective way. He literally just looks like he's sniping his own goalie. Incredible!
Hey - wondering how Frans has been for you guys? I haven't heard his name too much and outside of the nice assist against the Isles the other night, didn't factor in the game too much. Is he panning out?
You're right though. Halak has been terrific. It's nice to see and the players see it too, they are playing a lot better in front of him.
Rags had 6 friggen PPs last night. A few terrible calls, a few that were deserved. Most of their shots last night were on the PP.
Why they waited 20 games to finally start playing hockey is beyond me. I put all the unprepared nonsense and shuffling of lines bullshit on Fred Flintstone.
Why is Anthony Beauvillier being scratched every night in favor of Alan Quine? Why didn't they just send him back to fucking JRs. God...
Looking at that hit it looks pretty clean. Larsen was hunched down and Hall was a little more upright. They are about the same size, poor little bugger just got caught with his head down.
Isles are 4-0-1 in their last 5. They are doing a horrible job of getting Capuano fired. Terrible!!
On a lighter note, it's amazing what happens when Lee, Ladd, and Chimera start playing better hockey and producing. The 20 games it took the new guys to adjust may have killed the season though.
If he didn't do Hamonic for Hall straight up, this won't happen either. Dal Colle is having a decent first pro season. Him and Ho Sang could be primed to play on JT's wings for the next 10 years.
Had pretty decent seat at the Verizon Center Thursday night. Too bad the fucking DC tree lighting was going on too. Instead of pre-game beers, it was pre-game traffic.
