That is a completely ridiculous statement and you know it.
You may think ND will never join a conference but it is FAR more likely than OSU every leaving the Big 10.
If its not viable then its a dumb analogy. ND joining a conference is actually a possibility even though most think it will never happen.
Plus many other schools have given up rivalries to join other conferences.
Whether they need the money or not, choosing to not make more is not doing...
Its not dumb at all. Whether they have different values or not has nothing do with them not doing themselves any favors.
The Ohio State analogy is what is dumb because that's not even a remote realistic possibility, or option.
ND Not joining a conference leads to them not making as much...
so if they aren't making more money by not being in a conference and its not helping them get into the play off, that by definition is not doing themselves any favors.
we know they value conference champions. This is not even arguable.
ND is hurting their chances by never being able to have that tag.
That will definitely be something they factor in when looking at OU over ND
Thats only because they will have a worse record. If records are the same, more than likely ND gets left out.
I know ND doesn't need to join a conference they are just hurting their chances by not doing so. I really could care less either way, just pointing out how I see it.
