They would need help but it's possible. Oregon would have advantage unless they lost 2 or more games. SEC Champion would have advantage. Possibly 2 SEC teams. Oklahoma might need to lose 2 games. A lot has to happen.
The Big Ten is so unpredictable. Other than Northwestern and Nebraska, any team can beat another on any court. And when you think Michigan State is the class of the conference, they lose by 30 at Purdue.
The thing that helps Ohio State is that their first 3 opponents, really 4 had much better seasons than expected. That and LSU played at Texas who was ranked in the top 10 when they played but ended up only going 7-5.
They really could go either way here.
Opponents records:
Ohio State
Florida Atlantic 10-3
Cincinnati 10-3
at Indiana 8-4
Miami (Ohio) 8-5
at Nebraska 5-7
Michigan St 6-6
at Northwestern 3-9
Wisconsin 10-3
Maryland 3-9
at Rutgers 2-10
Penn St 10-2
at Michigan 9-3
Wisconsin 10-3
Total: 94-67 (58.3%)
LSU
Georgia Southern 7-5
at Texas...
Wisconsin still has a small chance to get in if they can pull the upset and Baylor / Oklahoma play a sloppy game. Also assuming Georgia doesn't pull an upset.
There is a lot of scenarios that can still happen.
Everyone is assuming that LSU goes undefeated. What happens if they lose in the SEC Championship to Georgia? Now Georgia is 12-1 SEC Champion and LSU is 12-1 with the best win of the season at Alabama. And Alabama is still 11-1.
SEC has a...
LMAO at a biceps curl being considered unsportsmanlike conduct. He flexed the crowd too, not like he was in the guys face.
Don't worry Tarik Black, in the NFL you can do that shit... no more snowflakes.
Agreed.
Trying to think of some weird scenario where they beat Penn State. Then Penn State beats Ohio State so they have to beat Penn State again in Indy. Wisconsin loses to Iowa so beating them doesn't look as impressive. And say Penn State has some major injuries before Indy.
That might be...
Probably. It would require beating Penn State, Wisconsin and Ohio State (most likely).
You would need atleast 2 of those teams to have meltdowns at the end of the year to make Minny's wins look less impressive.
Even if you took 2 SEC teams and Clemson over them, are you really gonna put a 1...
I could see Minnesota winning this game. Penn State barely beat Michigan at home and have had some grind it out wins on the road as well. No means will this be a blowout.
Well, it is like 7 straight years now that LSU and Alabama had a bye week right before playing each other. And they always play the first or 2nd week in November every year. Seems like they want that trend to continue.
Everyone knows the SEC schedules are bullshit. You only have to play 8...
Do you fall for the hype year after year? It always seems like the Cowboys are picked by many of the experts to contend and often times they don't even make the playoffs.
In Chicago, most people are down on the Bears. It's like the opposite. Even going into this year, people talking about...
