I understand that's the standpoint of the team, I just strongly disagree. Maybe it's because I despise meatball fans with a passion that consumes my soul, or maybe it's that I've seen what happens when you de-prioritize draft depth (the Bears), or maybe it's that I've seen what happens when you...
I really don't know anything about this Wentz kid, but I can't believe that he is worth 2 firsts, 2 seconds & 2 thirds.
Meanwhile, if the Titans have 2 solid drafts they could be really good for the next 4-5 years.
Nah. I could do without the play-in games, but only having 32 teams would mean one of:
1) Not every conference gets a bid
2) Only conference champs would get in
Neither of which are realistic. Add in the lost revenue from removing 32 elimination games, lost interest from lack of big upsets, it...
RPI is a very, very flawed stat. According to Kenpom (IMO a much better measure of a team's quality), MTSU was the second toughest 15 behind CSU Bakersfield.
And let's say you're right, and MTSU was the equivalent of a 13 seed. A borderline 1 seed should still win that game rather easily...
Why does it seem like every Hawkeye fan clings to UNI & ISU when Iowa inevitably collapses in Februrary/March? Isn't that just a more pathetic version of conference nutswinging?
I'm not so sure about that. I think his OBP (and as a result, OPS) was padded by the fact that he was being pitched around so much. Not saying it's impossible that he tops last season, but I'd guess both his BABIP & BB rate drop, leading to something like .310/.410/.640. Still an MVP caliber...
Wow, I know we aren't favorites but 22-1 seems steep.
I guess if you think about it, the odds are probably
90% to beat Nebraska/Minnesota
50% to beat Maryland
30% to beat MSU
35% to beat either of Purdue/IU
Multiplies out to 4.725% to win them all, 22/1 isn't that far off
I don't disagree on Reggie Wayne, but I also wouldn't put him in the top 3. I think you'd struggle to find a good argument over any of Rice, Miss, TO. And I've only been watching football for about 20 years, so I'm sure there are more that I just never got to watch.
And even a guy like Antonio...
As far as being dominant in his prime, he's probably better than anyone other than Moss/TO. And even those are arguable. But he just doesn't have the longevity to be considered a top 3, or even top 10, all time WR.
