Dude was a Washington receiver who was literally unheard of until this season. His pro day would’ve made him a 3rd round pick with an average QB, but he had an elite one.
You should. Rome Odunze is a 3rd round draft pick without Penix. UW was shit before he got there and all of the guys who are getting or got drafted were there
But if he is the number 1 dude on their board it doesn’t make sense to trade down. If their number 1 guy is there, why trade and get number 5 and 10. I do understand the pick doesn’t necessarily make sense but it’s not like they traded up for him
I’m not sure but I will guess.
-They didnt want to tank
-With Cousins you can get in the playoffs and anything can happen
-Didn’t think Penix would be there
-Didn’t think he would be there is they traded back.
If he is the number 1 guy on your big board just take him IMO.
But seriously you...
Which is all I’m saying. I don’t get the hate of the pick. Just to me the goal is to win a SB, they obviously didn’t feel anyone at 8 could get them there this year so they picked a guy who they feel can get them there in the future
If their goal is to win a Super Bowl in years 3, 4 and 5 then what does it matter though? I mean I get it but I just personally think he was the best QB in the draft.
No idea, do you honestly think they have a prayer? I think they wanted to be good, then one of their top prospects was there. IMO before the pick they thought Cousins can get them to the divisional round in the next 2 years but Penix can get them to a Super Bowl in years 3 and 4
Not sure why the Falcons are getting so much heat for Penix as IMO he was the best overall option except his medical. If they think he is the best and have to sit him for a couple of years then so be it. It’s not like Falcons have a prayer at the Super Bowl this year.
I think the Kraken did it because they did a solid to Root Sports and it also helps their exposure not being on there. They haven’t really grown that much so it is a win/win for them and the Mariners is the way I see. Though it does leave a hole in programming which will be interesting to see...
Bliss has been working a lot on playing 2B so it doesn’t really make sense for him to get the call at the moment. Bliss will move back to SS and I’d bet in 2 weeks if JP has a set back he will get the call up.
Well at least we can say if the pitching staff gives up less than 2 runs the Mariners will be World Series champs. Also, pleasantly surprise with how well Rojas is doing at 3B. For sure thought by now Polanco would be at 3B and Rojas at 2B
Yeah the story of him covering his friends bets and not knowing he was doing illegal bets would’ve been the end of it IMO. Maybe uber pro Pete Rose people would’ve said something but Manfred could’ve easily played off Ohtani was still a victim in it.
I didn’t know he hasn’t been charged yet...
Yeah, I did preface it with my personal preference. No idea how a park in Phoenix could look to fit my personal liking but I think it’s the same thing with the new Rangers ballpark
If I was rich, single and in my prime and some hot slut asked for it sure. But I grew up after 50 shades of grey and I’m not rich so I don’t have rats running after me.
Oh crap really? I thought it was made after TMobile.
Just my personal preference is it ugly inside. They could’ve done a crap more than make everything on camera look hideous. My memory was it wasn’t bad behind the stands, but everything from foul poles was either vacant, dumb, or a stupid frat...
Irrelevant to Ohtani, but just got done watching a Black Sox documentary. And Comiskey (according to this documentary) wasn’t nearly as cheap as being portrayed. His payroll was honestly great, but the bonus’ he promised in their contracts is where he was cheap. It’s obviously a one sided doc...
Not if you are an employee unless that has changed which Ippei was. Not sure about the NFL or NBA but that has always been the primary reason the leagues have been against taking money from gambling. You got docs who can clear or not clear, you got clubhouse people who know X, Y or Z. It isn’t...
Just personal preference obviously. I haven’t been to any of the new ones besides whatever the name of the Dbacks is. I’m just talking about how they look and for some reason modern American stadiums/architecture seem to be built for like 10 years then need an overhaul.
One thing I kind of wish the public would’ve held strong was in Texas. They should’ve spent all the public money on just putting a retractable roof. IMO the Ballpark at Arlington is 1000% better than their new one. Sounds gross, but Houston and Atlanta are the only ballparks that remotely seem...
If Ohtani bet? Who cares, baseball did their “investigation” and the feds got a guy to admit he did all of these crimes.
Jackson and Rose are only involved in this conversation because gambling of any kind is illegal for any employee of MLB. And it is brought up because there isn’t a question...
Eh, if the owners want to keep their gravy train of extorting public money no way can they can start asking for retractable roofs from the public. Ain’t no way the owners will approve a self imposed expense. No idea on how much money it would be but assuming it’s $500 million at a minimum...
