Remember that place well....friend of mine was drunk and thought it would be a great idea to jump in. I had to wade in and pull his sorry ass out. Not a fun night.
Any thoughts? I don't think a union will fly...think it is impractical and a step too far, but that said, I am 100% in favor of just about everything the Northwestern players were asking for. Players have to have some kind of seat at the table imo and the sad truth is they don't have that...
Not excusing it but if you threw everyone off of every team that smoked pot there would be damn few games on Saturdays. There wouldn't be enough players to field one team, let alone two.
4-0 would be even more outstanding. And it's not out of reach imo. Even without Millard the OU offense matches up perfectly to keep Baylor off the field. Easier with Millard, of course...but still doable. On defense, Zach Sanchez is the key...Baylor will attack him from the get go. If he...
All valid points regarding Knight....and fwiw, I believe he will get the throwing part down. As for Bell...there are worse things than a college QB being compared to Tim Tebow. And I know the Roethlisberger mention on air was all about football, but I still would not want to be compared to...
I'm still kind of torn on Knight. I don't think he did all that bad of a job, especially for a freshman. Long term, I still believe he will turn out to be the better QB. That said, in the short term no doubt that Bell has out performed him.
Thought the same thing about the rushing numbers. Over half of the 220 came on 2 plays and in both instances it was due to someone out of position. IOW, something that can be fixed...iow it's not a talent issue.
Pretty good assessments all the way around from both the OU and ND fans. Neither of these teams are world beaters imo. I'll be at the game on Saturday hoping for OU to get over the hump....not just against ND but also to get back a little road swagger. And to any OU fans in the Chicago area...
Nice post Hizzle. Thanks, you're a good guy. The people in Moore really got slammed. My mom lives in Moore and my brother lives right on the OKC/Moore border. Tornado missed them both by a mile or so. Very lucky.
I dunno.....isn't that damning with faint praise? Hell, Tulsa has more Sugar Bowls than OSU. :laugh3:
Seriously, good luck with the fund raising...if you get them off the ground send me a PM (that can be done here, right?) and I'll buy a couple. Or I will make a contribution if you don't get...
69% in the red zone for touchdowns. Granted, that's not terrible, but a good offense will score 75% or more (touchdowns) in the red zone. What is more important is how OU does in the red zone against good teams.
The 4 final ranked teams OU faced last year were KSU, UT, ND and A&M. We went...
Uh....Horns, even though your numbers are slightly off, you're still proving the point. At one time....a long, long time ago BTW, OU was owned by Texas. That time has long since passed.
