I can see that. GM really wants to take secondary but then you look at the roster and go 'maybe I shouldn't'
I'm pretty sure the Chiefs are the same way with Dline talent. They need to keep Spags away or we'll draft another Edge
Walterfootball has the following:
-If Odunze is off the board and the Jets are unable to trade down, Bowers is likely to be their pick
-Some team sources think Alabama edge rusher Dallas Turner could slide some in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Some franchises had some medical issues...
Its good having a QB everyone talks about
The QB draft looks like the whammy game to me. If a QB ends up in Chicago, Minnesota or even Vegas then they are in a really good spot to develop. A QB landing in New England or Denver is probably going to have to wait a year for the roster to...
Dominic Puni out of KU. Was a zero star recruit from the Saint Louis area who is Samoan I think. As such, he'll go rd2 and probably be a pro bowl player.
I think it matters until you're elite (top 5 OT overall) in which case the RT should get paid like an LT.
Eagles getting their franchise LT in the 7th round is kind of like a cheat code in terms of value. Drafting OL right now is pretty much 'is he Samoan?' and 'whats his arm length' and...
I appreciate the work you're going through. If Bill Belichick is right, all of the rumors we're hearing are wrong up until the last day so most of these will be way off.
Since we're allowed to change these:
1. Caleb Williams
2. Drake Maye
3. Jayden Daniels
4. Marvin Harrison Jr
5. JJ McCarthy
6. Malik Nabers
7. Joe Alt
8. Rome Odunze
9. Quinyon Mitchell
10. Brock Bowers
11. Latham
12. Brian Thomas Jr
13. Michael Penix Jr
14. Mims
15. Cooper DeJean
16. Fautanu...
My final rankings:
Top 10

Malik Nabers
Rome Odunze
Round 1
Brian Thomas Jr.
Adonai Mitchell

Troy Franklin
Xavier Legette
Keon Coleman
Ja'Lynn Polk
Roman Wilson
Ricky Pearsall
Round 3
Javon...
The knock on him is that he played against a lot of light boxes in college but that just means he is more of an unknown than a probable bust. I think if he goes to a pass heavy offense (like KC) he'll be really good.
It is hard to tell but I dont think it was a coincidence that Zach Wilson went high in the draft most impacted by COVID. Wilson (and Ill add Trey Lance ) literally didnt play anyone of note in college. There just weren't enough real reps to know what you were getting.
A decent part of the...
Imo, these days a rd2 QB doesn't really have to 'hit' since seasons are getting so long and the contracts are so cheap. If you get a decent QB in rd2 that isnt a liability then there is value in that.
Yeah, but it requires every other team to mess up the evaluation. Often these outliers help newer QBs get drafted higher. Kyler Murray doesnt go #1 without Russell Wilson. Anthony Richardson doesnt go top 5 without Jalen Hurts. Drake Maye doesn't go top 5 without Jordan Love.
Maybe Spencer...
Im not sure its even a consideration. I personally think 25 is about as high as the Chiefs should trade up and Bowers will be long gone. If the Chiefs do a crazy trade up, I suspect it would be for Mims or Fautanu or one of the Texas WRs.
I think the thing thats easy to overlook is age. Its why JJ McCarthy is going to go really high. Its almost certainly going to apply to other prospects as well and Higgins jumps out immediately as someone who produced at a really young age.
I think the only reason to trade up for the Rams is if they really wanted Bowers. I think a trench player will be there when they pick without trading up so they are probably best off just taking BPA trench player.
Nate Wiggins is maybe the best cover guy and one of the youngest players in the draft. His physical strength is too low for NFL play but with some weight training he should be one of the top prospects. I have a hard time gauging where he could go. I took him at 32 in the recent mock draft at...
The old PFF draft guy thought Branch was a top 15 player based on tape.
I think Rakestraw is in that 'Branch' range this year. Not a particularly great athletic profile but played well in the SEC and has a high floor if he stays healthy.
