The more I read, the more it seems Barry wasn't taking the gig serious. He treated it more like an ambassador role and you know Donnie Baseball didn't appreciate it much.
Kind of agree with this statement, kind of don't. Hitters should already know how to hit when they get the show. Certainly Barry's job isn't teaching guys how to hit. But fixing swings and coaching adjustments are what hitting coaches are supposed to do. Minor adjustments saw Jose Bautista's...
Arizona has been a hurricane of odd personnel decisions going back to when they traded away Justin Upton and tried to build an entire lineup of Cody Ross types.
Dave Stewart was a great pitcher but an obvious hack as a GM. Felt like he made moves for the sake of making moves. Signing a Cuban...

First pitching staff to post a negative WAR, I believe. Health of the top of roto was a big problem though. Bailey and Disco weren't ready for most of the season & it forced a lot of guys onto the mound who weren't ready.
Robin Ventura "resigned" as ChiSox manager; replaced by Rick Renteria
Walt Weiss' contract was not renewed by Colorado
Arizona fired GM Dave Stewart & manager Chip Hale
The Marlins will not bring back hitting coach Barry Bonds
. . . . . .
The front office tore the team apart. Made a grave mistake signing Bailey to such a big contract. And even though we love the guy, BP's $13-14M per has sandbagged the progress of the team.
But it is interesting... Traded away Chapman, Todd-Father before the season, Jay Bruce during the season...
ACC was pretty bad that year. Wake Forest couldn't beat Clemson nor Virginia Tech that year. Conference champ or not, I never agreed with giving a big bowl spot to the 15th ranked team in the country. And a generously ranked 15. SOS wasn't great & they brought 3 losses to the table.
2006 remains my favorite season. Opened with the big win over UK, I was at PJ Stadium for the win over Miami, and continued to win despite losing Brohm & Bush for a couple games. The West Virginia game is probably one of the best wins in history of the program. In retrospect, that season...
Reds secured the 2nd overall pick in next MLB player draft. This is an excellent draft class to find our next ace. Kid from Florida is 6'4, 255 & throws straight fire. Nobody is high on Bailey but we are stuck with him for the time being.
It has become clear to me in the past few days that Price is nothing more than a stop-gap. Why go out and find another guy when the team is still not ready to compete? I don't think the Reds are thrilled with the list of potential candidates. Getting used to the idea the Reds aren't building...
Chain crew member cheers Clemson's 4th-down stop of Louisville
"Intentional or not, even the appearance of impropriety is detrimental to the game. The chain crew need to operate unbiasedly and professionally. I don't care who you "root" for, that stays off the field and out of the job."
It's...
That thought has crossed my mind. The only think against Bobby would be his past transgressions. The man has a weakness when it comes to the NFL and vagina. Lots of hot vagina in Austin too.
I love Louisville but even I'm also not dumb enough to turn down Texas or Louisville money. Also have to consider the Cards were a Big East team back when.
Fedora has done very well for himself at a basketball school. He also has Big 12 experience, once serving as OK State OC. I believe he's around the age Mack Brown was hired at UT coach from UNC. Fedora does value defense but hasn't found the right guy to run his. Chizik is laughable.
