Talking heads kept yammering on about this game, now loss, being Peter's audition for next year. Any thoughts on if the pressure got to him? Who do we think takes the first snap of 2018?
I don't disagree, but I feel you can say that same about the majority of conference teams.
Auburn and Georgia have decent OOC slates, and I don't blame Alabama for FSU's anomaly season, but the other ranked SEC teams are in the same boat. LSU's OOC was BYU, Chattanooga and Troy. Miss State had...
I agree, but it won't happen. For that to be the case, one of two things would have to happen.
1. Rank UGA #1 over Clemson who had a blowout win of their own
2. Move OU down to #4 after their blowout win
I just don't see either happening.
It's not Harbaugh. A lot can be said about the failures of our experienced QBs, but our OL has been just as bad. Combine that with some bland play calling, and it makes for an ugly season.
Hopefully, two weeks practicing with the first team will help him get better. He looked good with the short crossing routes. The offense still struggled with the slow developing plays. That's where we gave up so many sacks.
Another position of great concern for me is the OL. I'm wondering how...
I think Michigan is too high given what they've done on the field. The Florida win is looking less impressive and the offense is looking more like Brady Hoke's last year than a Jim Harbaugh offense. Just MHO, but I'm thinking they are playing more like a 5 right now, give or take.
If that is actually right, and not a commentators opinion (or my crappy memory), I agree with you. JH has always been about the best player plays, that's what makes me wonder. Peters was by far the best on the field during the spring game, but he wasn't going against our first team D.
I agree Crawford has to share blame for the first INT, but Speight isn't blameless in that play. The pass was high enough that Crawford had to leave his feet to get his hands on the ball. I hope you're wrong about him being the best we have. He's certainly better than O'Korn, but I'd like to see...
