 I thought Michigan tickets were going to be part of Nick Sabans new contract reading the title.

I just didn't think the topics deserved two different threads.

Two topics I just saw scroll across my twitter feed.

At $11.15 million, Alabama's Nick Saban the highest paid in all of sports for 2017

"According to Al.com, Saban will be paid $11.15 million this season, thanks in part to a $4 million signing bonus.

The contract runs through 2024."

Holy shit

And also Michigan's season tickets up to 93,000 -- the largest number ever seen since 200 and those tickets alone account for more people than every stadium but 9 in CFB.

Is this a Coke promotion to give people tickets and fake numbers again?

We can need is nothing. Bama just gave Tosh Lupoi a 950k contract to coach OLBs. That is insane.

He's a good coach but I think the majority of the reason he got such a raise is that he's one of the best recruiters in the game.

No argument. Its a lot for a position coach. Bama has consistently been at the top of money spent on football. Saban has led the charge for bigger staffs and pay.

Yes, Saban is a great coach. Alabama is good at recruiting, and who would turn down a chance to go play for a powerhouse like Alabama?

So Saban can go see Michigan play before Harbaugh is given his walking papers for not winning the conference or a title.

I'm probably in the minority here with this opinion, but Saban is still probably underpaid. I wonder how much more money the University of Alabama makes each season from their football program now, compared to what they made the years prior to his arrival? I'm guessing it is MUCH higher than $12 million a year.

After that 7 years, Dabo arrives in Tuscaloosa... and the pushing-in continues. It probably won't stop unless we all soon get vaporized due to the actions of the mentally ill fool on Pennsylvania Ave. in Washington.

It goes well beyond just the football program. Requests for attendance and all that stuff is way up as well. The success he has brought the school has been excellent PR for the school.

But a few years ago the revenue was up over 100% for the entire AD vs prior to Saban. So even in just the football part alone it's been crazy.

Alabama chancellor says Nick Saban is best investment in university history
