He's been pretty bad.

But so far, the game has been lost because they can't stop Paul in the 2nd half. That's on the entire team.

They almost had the wire-to-wire win. All but 34 seconds of the game over 2 stints early in the game.

I think Favors is done being a starting player.

I can't think of many big men who had this much of a drop-off, to return to their former levels.

Guards are a little more likely to return to higher levels, but I don't think big men.

Whether it's injuries or not, it doesn't matter.

He had a good game, but one game does not determine whether a player brings a lot of value.

I do like his fundamentally sound defensive principles. He doesn't unnecessarily reach or get caught off guard.

And 3 assists was nice, showed good judgement within the flow of the offense.

But he can't create his own shot anymore; gets injured too much; and just isn't that much of a game changer on defense or rebounding like Gobert, for example.

I don't think he's consistent enough to be a starter.

He has 1 more year on his contract. Start looking at replacement FAs in 2018 for a starting caliber player. If Favors is resigned, it has to be to a 2-3 year deal as a bench player.

This was a consistent series for Hayward.

I expect him to have some series where he struggles a lot. It happens to most scorers.

But, I also think he'll have more series like this one, where he has good games for most of the series. Just not every time.
