We are IN the lottery! what everyone wanted early on. Lets do it!

Yes, everyone wanted to be seated towards the back of the lottery.

Missing the playoffs AND a bad chance at a good draft spot. The best of both worlds.

I was being sarcastic for the chumps who were actually preaching for the Heat to have a bad season for the sake of better lottery chances - it is beyond stupid.

Its unfortunate to miss the playoffs by the slimmest of margins as the Heat did -- but it is what it is -- Our lottery spot will be what it is - the Heat will find a way to make the best of it -- its a decent enough draft to be able to get a quality player at the spot - whoever thinks otherwise simply doesn't know what they are talking about

Some heat related news: Riles signed what I believe was a 5 year extension to remain with Heat with the flexibility to do it away from Miami as he is staying elsewhere these days

Not entirely surprising, Waiters, Goran , JJ, Ellington again expressing their desire to stay in Miami and their happiness with treatment from the organization. Waiters in particular has made it difficult not to root for the guy - as soon as the season ended, he has put in some work to get his weight in control and continues to put in work and healthy to be able to contribute to the team.

Some other negative stuff floating around there with regards to the queen - but its not worthy of talking about chumps who are no longer here because they didn't want to be

Would it have been better to overachieve and have a .500 season in 02-03 and miss out on Wade?

I wasn't hoping we had a bad season, I just knew we weren't that good - and that win streak would bite us in the ass.

The win streak didn't bite us in the ass at all. Waiters going down is what bit us in the ass. You don't know 30-11 by mistake. Would have been easily 32-34 wins if he didn't go down

The Heat must not pay attention to the self-absorbed divas like Diva Wade and Queen James and just focus on improving our team

Tonight is the night we've been waiting for, after having missed the playoffs

Its lottery night - the margin in the odds are obviously greatly different from the time we ended up with the 2nd pick in the draft - But, we can still hope for a miracle and hope we can somehow , magically do better than the 14th slot we are most likely to obtain

Per reporters with access to lottery proceedings in secret- things will go as planned for Heat and they will get the 14th selection
