I see Fournette as a Thomas Jones type after Jax took him. Some good years some bad years, but when it is all over he has 11 or 12 thousand yards.

Having said all that, IMO he should still be the first guy off the board.

sounds like Joe did not want to see that

Joe and rookies... especially rookie QB'S
giphy_s.gif

Well, I'm numb.
Keep in mind I look at the draft a little differently, given my rookie skepticism.
ALL of these kids need to prove themselves IMO. To quote Neil Armstrong, this is "one small step" for them.

I honestly don't know what to think. Of course I hope he pans out now that he's a Bear. But now I hope Glennon at least gives him a reason to sit and learn (at least for the first 8-10 games).

Glennon is probably upset... on the other hand, he just made 15 million more than he's worth!

Watching the draft coverage on ESPN.
I'll tell you this, the highlight reel they showed on the Brown's #1 Myles Garrett, to me looked ridiculously slow for a pass rusher. I think most OL are faster than him. For all the talk of him being a consensus #1 pick in this draft, I see a kid who will struggle to get past an NFL offensive line.

His deal was not long term. It was structured as a "prove it" type deal. And now Glennon has another reason to prove it.

Yeah he got shutdown whenever he faced any of the better o-lines in college big red flag imo

I wouldn't have minded Foster at 10... absolute steal at 27; c'mon Buff!
