It's better in the sense that they're still in Sacramento where they belong. I'm actually more optimistic about the Kings right now than the Padres, which just speaks to how horrible the Padres are this season. Neither team has made the playoffs in over a decade though, which isn't fun.

I have no attachment to the Aztecs outside of them being the local team. But I was kinda bummed to hear Fisher retire. Having one of the greats local was kinda cool.
Will the program be able to continue to grow in the post-Fisher era?

Yeah it sucks seeing Fisher go, he had a great run. From everything I've read, Brian Dutcher is very qualified to take over the team. I think he'll do well, but to take them past the heights Fisher brought them to will be tough. One of the players from last years team has already transferred.

He immediately put his arms out like he was calling a foul ball. I think it's just that nobody paid attention to him since it was so obviously not a foul ball. He did it kind of tentatively, but he did do it and never did call d'Arnaud out. In that situation he needs to be demonstrative and really let everyone know what he's calling since it's not what everybody on the field, both teams, the fans and the groundscrew that was already mowing the damn grass thinks happened.

So, Jorge Bonifacio is coming up for the Royals. Good fuck the Orlando 3 year nightmare is finally over. Turned from a fill-in during 2015 to just an incredibly annoying "he's not that bad" kind of player. Boni is probably AAAA as well but I'd rather give him a shot than Orlando.
