Devin Williams left to start making a living. Why is that hard to understand? His mom was living with him in Morgantown because his apartment was provided by WVU.

Devin was a great rebounder, but he changed the flow of the offense... and he was no rim protector. I'm unsure how much better the team would have been with him.

He admitted himself he recieved bad advice about going a year early, while noble in the idea of taking care of his family I doubt if I am the only one going "WHY". Probably would have helped himself and his family a little more staying another year.

Your unsure if another Senior leader who avg double digit points and almost 10 rebounds would have helped this team....

Devin said he was given bad advice regarding the NBA draft. Every NBA mock draft site excluded him. I think it was understood he would be a late 2nd round pick at best. That means shit in their world.

Most understood he was going to end up overseas. Devin knew he would end up overseas.

I read he got hurt this season playing ball in Australia. Think if he had gotten hurt this year?

Yeah... I'm unsure how much he would have helped. Outside of his rebounding... many of which he stole from his teammates due to his aggressive style... his other contributions were absorbed by players on this year's team. Don't you think it's interesting the team scored more points this year than last? One of the highest scoring WVU teams in the program's history.

You must have been one of the guys who thought WVU would have been better had Eron Harris stayed?

Some garbage officiating in that game. Refs gave the Zags a 6 minute time out at one point, and SOMETHING should have been called on the charge/block no call when the Zags had the ball, Adrian also got killed on the layup near the end of the game and....swallowed the whistle.

Refs have a tough job, but change could be beneficial

Fuck the ref stuff! The refs didn't cause WVU to go 16/60 from the floor.

Excuses are for losers. WVU lost because they couldn't make a basket.

Does it make you feel better to make excuses for how much WVU sucked last night by making shit up?

The game would not have even been close had everyone not named Jevon Carter been able to make more than 10 shots... combined... for the entire fucking game!

kenpom.com had Gonzaga's schedule ranked #104. Sagarin #107. ESPN #92... that includes a non-con #45. WVU had what many considered a weak non-con... #79. WVU overall... #24 ESPN... #21 Sagarin... #18 kenpom.
did you LOOK at their schedule or just look at ratings sight, they eye test tells me they played a decent schedule, and are moving on in the tourney..... Shooting has been a problem for years, always has been with Huggins teams, he doesn't recruit pure shooters, he recruits defense and rebounding first, counting on having way more shot attempts than the opponent. Explain to me how we lose if Miles sinks those two free throws. HARDLY made up!!!!!! Our press defense had stiffled them most of the game, they were 20+ points off their season average, IF they take the ball out after a MADE free throw, the defense is set, the press is on, and no easy three......

I agree. WVU needs to start cheating. Pay the big bucks to get kids to Morgantown like they do to get them to Lexington... Lawrence...

Then we can hang the banner we cherish the most from the catwalk. Otherwise... we're stuck with participation trophies...
That is what you have been advocating all along.........

What happened after Miles missed his 2nd FT attempt? Would the ensuing play have made a difference in the outcome? How about any of the previous missed bunnies by WVU's players? What impact did those missed attempts make?

WVU gave up tons of easy 3 pt looks after teams beat its press. WVU gave up a bunch of open looks against Gonzaga once they blew past Nathan. WVU is always at a man disadvantage once the press is broken. You absolutely cannot claim WVU setting up its press would have neglected an open look for Gonzaga. Macon was super slow closing out... did not even jump with an extended reach to attempt to block the shot.

Stop making shit up.

Yes... I studied the Gonzaga schedule way before you posted a link to it. It is the way I prepare myself as a fan... no matter the sport. Critics of Gonzaga were justified in pointing out their schedule's weakness. No human polls... no human bias in setting their SOS. Them's the facts...

I am sick of SOS coming from you. Gonzaga is a great team, they had a 35-1 record to this point, are in the elite 8 and winning at halftime to get into the final 4. They won by 20 points on average all year, WVU held them to their season low. If you can't see that Miles missed free throws made the difference WHEN WE HAD THE LEAD WITH A MINUTE TO GO, then there is no common sense in you, yes it would have been great to have had a twenty point lead, but we had a one point lead, and those missed buckets WERE the difference between a Win and a Loss......you want to sit here spouting computer and polls, Kenpom had WVU #1 much of the season......so maybe not as reliable as you want to spout....

You don't even know what happened after Miles' missed 2nd attempt... do you?

kenpom had WVU right where they should have been at season's end. Funny how that works. Guess where he Gonzaga?

You are a fool....

He didn't watch the game. If he did, he doesn't understand what he saw. While Miles' misses didn't help, he is not the goat for the game.

The entire team shot poorly. They proved this in the last 35 seconds when they had 3 chances to make a 3 pointer and went 0 for 3. Ahmad continues to put the ball on the floor and loses control for a turnover. Konate came in energizes but does not so smart things. Something my BB coach coined as crazy hustle. These 2 are young and hopefully develop into better decision makers.

DAD doesn't understand the game of basketball. He likely read someone blaming Miles for the missed FT's, and adopted it as gospel.

WVU's shooting guards went 4-22. But, blame Miles for a couple of missed FT's. Macon fails to close out on Matthews beyond the arc. But, blame Miles. Nathan grabs a loose ball created by Javon knocking it loose from a Gonzaga player after Miles' missed 2nd attempt creating a lay-in attempt for Nathan. He fails to elevate, and has his bunny blocked by a Gonzaga guard setting up the frenetic play leading to Matthews' 3. But, blame Miles for the miss.

He is tired of me citing computer sources for SOS, yet pushes unbiased assessment of teams... refers to polls as popularity contests. Everyone is entitled to look like a fool. But, the world uses facts to support opinion. No one I know cites DAD's opinion of who is good... or who isn't.

None of said Gonzaga was a bad team. We simply said they would not have 1 loss if they played a more challenging schedule. They would likely not have been a 1 seed had they played in a deeper more competitive conference.

He simply spinning it differently because he's a troll...

Don't cite facts, provide references or sources, and don't provide numbers because he doesn't believe them regardless of the situation. I find this amazing considered he told us he was an engineer. Maybe he is a train engineer. I don't know. Most engineers that I know are fairly good at interpreting numbers and use references, but this one doesn't. I also found that most good engineers do not have common sense, but not to this degree. I work with a PhD Chemist who can talk to you about just about anything, from Clemson football to poker to classical music, let alone blow you away with his knowledge of chemistry. He is a fan of the Simpson and his attempt at humor has improved the more I get to know him. His 4 year old son can recite the Periodic Table and tell you the configuration of the outer shell of the element.

Miles' misses were just the frosting on the cake.

Are you surprised this team scored more than last? that is what usually happens when players mature in the system.....would not be surprised if next years team scores more than this team...does that mean we would not miss a player like Adrian?

I think I was on the team that did not like seeing Harris leave....guess that matters now.

If players maturing in the system were responsible for setting scoring records, why haven't we seen this from past Huggy teams? Especially if we're witness to the loss of a major contributor as Devin...

Does missing a player equate to what I've implied? Devin had plenty of negatives which hurt the teams he was on. Do these not matter? Nathan has some true negatives which hurt this year's team. Will next year's team find a way to replace some of the positives Nathan provided and give the team a boost in areas Nathan wasn't proficient at?

Jonathon Holton was a major reason for many areas of success his Sr season. Was he missed this year?

I present Eron because we had so many crying about his transfer. He was replaced and the team actually became much better without him.

Funny how that works... huh?

I watched every minute of the game...... Miles missed the two free throws, Gon got the rebound, got a long pass to an open man at the arc.......HAD HE made the free throws, Gon would have been struggling to inbound the ball, rather than getting it right down the floor in transition, I understand exactly what I saw, at the VERY WORST, Gon gets the ball down the floor and we end in a tie going into overtime.......
