I have nothing against him as a person. I just don't want him anywhere close to this team.

He's not a good player. Period. The fact that people were still trying to say that he had potential was laughably stupid. At this stage in his career, it wasn't hard to see that he does not have the intelligence, accuracy, or work ethic to make anything of himself.

I figured that he would be out of the league less than two years after we got rid of him because there is no other team blind enough to fall for his "potential", much less pay him what we did.

He made some money if he was smart with it he should be set for the rest of his life, a guy really can't ask for much more than that.

He probably would have been signed at least as a backup had he not done the anthem protest and given another chance. But teams don't want that negative attention for he what they feel he currently brings. I was listening to the Lynch interview on KNBR but the reception starting breaking up when he was talking about Kaep and I couldn't hear everything that was said. I heard something about the FO came up with a new deal for him but it fell through. They signed these two new QBs thereafter. I don't think Shanahan cares for him anyway. Word is Shanahan isn't very high on this year's QB draft class either

Regarding my earlier post. He didn't almost resign a new deal with SF. According to Kevin Lynch, he was close to signing with another team but for some reason it didn't work out.
