I didn't realize that he's already locked up through the 2018-2019 season at about $1 million per year. That's so beautiful. It's so key to get some contributors out of these cheap contracts.

Okafor with same number of turnovers as points + rebounds. I cannot stand him. I will never understand drafting him over Porzingis.

Now Embiid is indefinitely, smh. Just sit him for the season. You know that is the next announcement. What's the point of letting him with 15 or games left. After missing almost a month and played 30 gms in 2 yrs, why bother sending him back out there. It's to the point I don't even wanna see him on the bench.

Not that mock drafts have much meaning but I don't remember seeing any mock drafts that had Porzingis ahead of Okafor. Seems like hindsight.

He was around there. Most reports were that Porzingis' camp wouldn't give philly access to him.

I have a couple posts in the draft thread before the draft arguing for drafting Porzingis. So, definitely not hindsight for me. Same way I was for drafting Cousins over Turner. Not saying I would nail every pick, but non-athletic players are not useful in the NBA and Turner and Okafor were not athletic (compared to NBA stars).

or you hope Simmons is good to go and lives up to atleast an allstar level, because chances are Embiid won't be in the league long, too long of a history of 7 footers with knee/foot issues, and hes had 2 of them now. Hate to say it, but odds are he NEVER plays 70-75 game seasons

The Sixers are simply not taking any chances with either Embiid or Simmons this year because there is no need to risk anything else going wrong. Do I think Embiid tweaked the knee? yes, but do I think it is anywhere near as serious as the Sixers are saying? no. He'll be ready to go next year when all the pieces are in place. As for now ... we're in tank mode. Another solid line for Holmes last night ... Okafor? Ughhh

Then you must believe that Okafor actually helps them win games.

They are driving up the prices on the rich seats that they know will be hot ticket items for the foreseeable future. Like taxing the rich. So long as we don't bring this up in the political forums, we'll be ok...
