No one is being signed yet however players/media know when a player wont be resigned. Well teams can resign their own guys

CJ Spilled and DT Bobby Richardson both signed.
Neither were under contract to a team.
Maybe that's the key?

I think anyone whose been cut or was otherwise not under contract can sign at anytime. Anyone else, their contact doesn't end until 4pm, March 9th..the official end of the 2016 calender year

You may be on to something.
Players that are "released" are still not free to sign until March 9.
Technically under contract, just "released" from the team.
Odd loophole if you ask me.
