Yeah, because it's the common narrative every year they are in the top ten, saying that they are a FF favorite. Still doesn't produce anything, so it means about as much as your tired rants: nothing.

By the way, how are you not able to understand that if I'm a hypocrite, then you must also be one. All we did was switch arguments from a year ago. I'm going with RPI and you're going with metrics. See how that works? Hypocrite.

And how about your prediction that UW would be the front-runners next year in the Pac because of Fultz and Porter? They are in the basement of the Pac and does it still look like they would be the frontrunner? This is what I'm talking about. You just say stupid shit all the time, and the moment someone questions you or asks for clarification for more than a couple posts, you turn incredibly insecure and start shooting off with more bullshit. It's death by bullshit from you. Fultz and Porter hands down the best duo in the Pac if Futz stays? All I said was "what if Markkanen has a great year (as he was poised to do), and AZ gets Ayton?" You couldn't be fucking bothered, and holy shit guess what? Turns out Markkanen is working his way into the top 5 of quite a few draft boards and AZ gets Ayton. Turns out there are really good arguments that UW will not be a frontrunner next year (even if Fultz stays) and that the best duo might not be in Seattle.

And just like in that conversation, all I'm saying is that we are talking about opinions here. You going around talking shit to people because they question you on an online forum is about as petty as it gets. By all means, talk CBB, but when someone disagrees, provides sounds arguments that other people agree with, and questions your (or anyone's) ability to speak so certain about opinion, it's okay. You don't have to lose your shit and run the conversation into the ground, and then keep beating.

If you want to think that GU is a FF favorite, go ahead. Forgive us for disagreeing. Maybe we don't see enough of an indication that warrants us to do the same. Maybe we think that a conference schedule means something. Again, I still hear coaches talking in post-game press conferences how important strong opponents right now are good for the team and toward March. Maybe we don't think that beating AZ (without two current starters) and Florida back in Nov/Dec, and a bunch of shit since is worth enough to be a #1 seed or the #1 team, let alone a FF favorite.

And who the fuck do you think you are to question me as a fan just because I wasn't on this site for a couple months? Not being here for a two months makes me fair-weather? That's why it's so difficult to even discuss shit with you. You just start reaching for anything that supports talking shit and being right, even if you have to pull shit directly out of your ass. I was taking 2 weeks of exams for my PhD, moved, and was out of the country for a bit doing research. Does that also make me fair-weather? I don't even know why I replied to such a ridiculous assumption, maybe to just further show how sometimes you are so passionate to sound like a dumbfuck. So keep bringing me up, keep me on your mind. But I don't have any time for you and your bullshit. I come on here to talk basketball, not have someone try to shove their opinions down my throat at any cost, because he's too insecure to realize that he's not Nostradamus.

This might be one of the weakest tourney fields ever, considering how terribly weak the bubble looks.

I didn't bring you up, someone else did. I just replied back with that article.

And I'm not a hypocrite, I always thought Arizona would be better than their seed would indicate last year, because of the metrics, because most of them are predictive in nature. I was wrong about that. I was telling you why Arizona wouldn't be as high of a seed as you thought, and I was correct. The same reason I thought Zona was better than their seed, is exactly why I think Gonzaga is a FF favorite. I never changed my line of thought. And they have the resume of #1 seed as well.

And my prediction about UW we will never know. If Fultz does stay, which we both know he won't, pairing him with the likely #1 pick in the 2018 draft in Porter, I don't see how that wouldn't make them the best duo?

I only questioned your fanhood because I didn't think it was a coincidence that you disappeared after a loss and don't show up again until they win their biggest game of the year. If I'm wrong about that, so be it.

If GU doesn't make the EE or FF I'll be the first to admit I was wrong. And everyone can pile on.

I think the most losses ever for an at large bid is 14, I could be wrong, but we could definitely match that with a couple teams this year, unless the committee is going to take teams with better records that played softer schedules, which would be opposite of what they normally do.

It's pretty amazing that teams like Providence, Pitt, Wake Forest and Vanderbilt are even in consideration, that's just the kind of year it's been.

It's gonna be teams with good records that played meh schedules vs teams with not so great records who played tough schedules but probably didn't really beat any of the tough teams.

I could keep going back and forth with you on all of this but all you are interested in is arguing until the bitter end that you are never wrong (unless it makes you right about something else). It goes on and on until I physically stop posting. And I don't have time for that shit. So you win the war of attrition because I just don't care anymore. Good news is, I've learned my lesson.

Yeah at this point, that's what it will come down too. If any of those teams with a bunch of losses can pick up a couple quality wins, my guess is that the committee will lean towards taking them.

If you do stop posting, I promise I won't call you a fair weather fan, so you will have that going for you.

Calling me a fair-weather fan says more about you than me (mostly that you think someone posting on a site determines when they are a fan). I went to the GU game in LA and some games at McKale while I was in my fair-weather fan stage of self-imposed exile. In the last 25+ years I've been to hundreds of games (home, neutral, and away), I've driven across the country to go to AZ games in the FF, a couple EEs when they won and advanced to the FF, and watched AZ games at all hours of the night (when I could) from around the world (S. Korea, Central America, and Iraq). You are actually even entertaining the idea that a loss to Butler would make me not a fan, and a win against UCLA would revive me as a fan?

Thanks for saying that you not calling me fair-weather is something I have going for me. It's kind of awkward because now I have to tell you that nothing you do or don't do has any impact on me, and you assuming so just means you are dramatically overestimating your importance to anyone on this site.

I will post on here when I can/choose to, but my patience for having anything resembling a worthwhile discussion with you, has run out.

I was just kidding. I only said that because I was wrong in what I said about you being fair weather.

I suspect some wild conference tourneys the way this years been, should be fun to watch at least how it all plays out.

@ericd7633 forgot to ask.

If WSU wins the valley as I suspect.

Do all those teams behind them that are first 4 out and higher move up a spot?

Yes, that would be the case. Illinois State would enter the at large pool, where they would fall in that pecking order, I'm not really sure. I haven't focused on them from an at large perspective because they've been the "auto" bid every bracket I've done so far. My guess is that Illinois State would fall in the First 4 OUT, or Next 4 OUT. I think they'd be on the outside looking in.
