Wow ..this program can't even keep pace with KSU!
Still haven't found the article but I do know I was curious if Mitchell received a significant bump, which he actually took a loss in salary. Maybe I just made it up. Works for some.

AAAAAND.........another....

After one season on the staff, West Virginia cornerbacks coach Blue Adams is leaving to take a position at USF, sources told the Gazette-Mail on Sunday. He’s the third assistant coach to leave the team this offseason and the second in three days. -
That's confirmation enough for me...Dana's an ass to work for.

It would be interesting to know why these Assistants left. Is it Dana? Is it Shane? Did they leave for more money?

How many recruits have we lost because of coaches leaving?

What no one has mentioned, or acknowledged is that asst football coaches, as a rule, are pretty mobile. Look back through the years at most any school, asst coaches come and go every year, for many different reasons. This is a few years old, but still applies: Assistant coaching: Tough job, but many want to do it

You will never know how many recruits we missed out on...or decided to sign elsewhere...

Just my opinion -
Mitchell wanted a longer term contract and with Dana's situation with Lyin' Shane Lyons, bailed on the Mountaineers.

Galloway - this one is interesting. I've seen where he is the OC and I've seen articles where he is a co-OC. I thought he left to be the OC at Louisville since Dana didn't appear to be giving up that role. Could have been the cash as well since he got a good bump in salary and refer to Mitchell above.

Crook - he took the same position at Cincy. Was he looking for an OC position? He left at the same time Spavital was announce as OC. It was strange to have Crook and Wickline sharing the same position. Somebody was bound to go. Maybe Crook and Dana didn't get along, but Dana started running the ball more soon after Crook arrived.

Sieder - chance for him to go back to Florida. Easier school to recruit for with more talent within the program. May be he didn't get along with Dana, but Dana used the running game more in his plan. Not sure how much more he is receiving with his move, but I think it would be a good bump going to a SEC school.

As I mentioned, just my opinion. I read where there were 6 coaches who were up for contract renewal. If I didn't include the possibility that there could be a dislike for Dana, then there is a junior engineer who would say that I refuse to believe that Dana could ever be impossible to work for, along with my man crush for King Ollie (all hail the King). Even if they left because of Dana, then what is the big deal. There is always a boss or co-worker that you don't care to work with or for. Maybe Crook and Wickline didn't get along. Maybe Mitchell and Gibson didn't get along. But for a couple of guys, it will always be Dana.

I could be a number of things...but with Sieder he has been there for sometime and he hasn't been promoted into a new job ...so maybe for him personally he needed a fresh start somewhere else...working for Strong can't hurt..

Plus, how much easier would it be to recruit the South for running backs and flash Florida and the SEC as a couple of the reasons?

Looks like it is working like a charm in every sport other than the ones that Luck had the most involvement in. Women's soccer played in the NCAA championship game, women's basketball won the B12, rifle won their 19th NCAA championship, fifth in a row, men's basketball is in the B12 championship game right now. GREAT time to be a Mountaineer. I just love all of our "fans" on here that don't have a word to say about WVU's great athletic accomplishments the last few months......I think they are Ollie fans, NOT WVU fans!!!

That was probably the biggest accomplishment of them all that helped get us to where we are today. WVU has been doing well in sports for 30 years. Eddie, Ollie and Shane all had a part in making WVU what it is today.

I wouldn't even place No Balls in the same class as Eddie P. What has Lyin' Shane Lyons done so far? Manage programs already in place or are you counting the exemplary hometown discount contract negotiation skills he displayed?

What has Shane done to help WVU athletics? He fucked the football program. He has done exactly what besides that?

Oh, that's right athletic success has NOTHING to do with wins and championships, it's all about how much money you can milk from the fans, so I guess Lyons is a failure........
