The oldest living starter of the Indianapolis 500 has passed away.
Chuck Weyant, a midget racing star who competed in four Indy 500s in the 1950s, died Tuesday at the age of 93.
A member of the National Midget Racing Hall of Fame with 64 career victories including the 1955 Hut Hundred, Weyant qualified at Indy in 1955 (pictured), 1957, 1958 and 1959 with his best finish of 12th as a rookie. The native of St. Mary's, Ohio also made 21 career IndyCar starts, with an eighth at Las Vegas (1954) and Milwaukee (1959) his top showing.
