Yep could be fine. I am familiar with small players. Some do well. They are also still in HS so they will still grow and add muscle. Just a observation. :2cents:

our starting corners now are 5'9-5'10 range with Reid and Haley....ideally I'd love his speed and quickness in a 6'2 frame, bu t that's a very rare find

Height is nice it is the 156lbs that makes me a bit nervous. Like I said he will add some weight as part of maturing. Maybe a little muscle too. Having tall receivers doesn't hurt when there are 50-50 balls. McSorely throws a few and our guys pull them down. I am pretty sure he will have moved on and we will have another QB by the time Hamler is ready to go. There are ways to use a guy like him in the spread option.

We have Charles and Johnson on the outside for Big guys, Hamler is strictly a slot guy, same height as welker. He'll put on a little muscle in college...think Thompkins

Exactly what I was thinking ... slot receiver, punt and kick returner. If he has skills they will find a place for him.

Huge pickup with Wade. Kaindoh looks like he's favoring FSU, hopefully he has a change of heart before January 1.

Wade has been all PSU for a while, just built up some suspense this week with the WVU talk.

of note is that he may slide to safety, our secondary would be VERY athletic with that move and kid loves contact, plus he's built like a tank

Tjhis class is winding down, prpbably 1-2 more coming on board unless something crazy happens with tarnsfers. 2018 will start heating up again around Junior Day, could see Ricky Slade popping in Spring...2018 class is going to be an absolute monster class for us....off to a ridiculous start already...keep winning with a couple heisman candidates and let the good times roll

Why does ESPN hate us? Every recruit we land they don't mention it on main thread. We could land the #1 prospect and 2 things would happen. ESPN would down grade that player to 19th best. 2nd they still wouldn't show or acknowledge the commitment unless you clicked on Penn State commits. Lamont Wade is ranked by ESPN as the 16th best CB are you fucking serious. Every other site has him in the top 5. ESPN only does negative news when talking about Penn State. Sorry for my rant it just pisses me off.

they really like our 2018 class so far though, have 2 of their top 10 overall in Parsons and Fields and several top 100

It is hard for me to take their recruiting seriously though as they are usually way off the reservation on some of their assessments compared to the 3 main sites

I could care less what ESPN thinks. They are so drama filled the only thing I use them for is scores and box scores.

Looks like FSU is favored to land Joshua Kaindoh. Crystal ball we aren't even in the running but I think that's way off. I see him picking between us or FSU today. That would be a huge get for us.

Don't count Bama out in that one either. I'd be surprised if hr picked us, ha da ton of pressure at IMG with people steering him to FSU. Maybe now that he's home Dad talked some sense and we have a shot. I think we would only take someone like him or COnliffe at this point unless there is some attrition after the bowl. They do have some kids they have ready to commit, but were told to wait till new year to see if we have numbers

Staff adds an interesting pickup last night. Out of nowhere they offer Journey Brown, RB from Meadville PA. They must have loved his senior film if he got an offer with the guys they have interested right now. Working with 2-3 more spots, hippenhammer may flip to ND so we'd backfill a WR like Webb, Bowden or Lindsey...proctor, Fields and Conliffe biggest 3 on board that are known now.

Note on Brown, he had 7000+ yards in Hs and had a single game where he had 700+ and 10 TD this season. Has very good speed and decent size.

So what do you think? Not trolling here, looks like it's between you and us (Maryland) unless Alabama calls.
One of us gets a pretty good player, ya think?

I think if Bama pushed they'd be a lock. I think the visit this weekend really helped PSU, but no idea where he ends up. Heard our staff feels good after the visit, he was only official visitor on campus last weekend and got the full court press from entire staff, spent ton of time with Franklin. His former teammate, Zech Mcphearson hosted him and he seemed to really like the school and clicked with the players.

We'll know in a week either way.

Pretty much the way I see too.
Move in is later this week for us, so we'll know more about EE's and those transferring out.
Our new coach has raised the bar, I guess you could say.
Recruiting for us hasn't had this interest for a while.
Good Luck, well maybe not on TCF Grin

Yeah, our EE's were in last week. Glad to see them in class, especially Wade and Faison-Walden.

Franklin has raised bar for recruiting here and the results from this season have put 2018 class on track for one of best since the Lavar Arrington class of mid 90's. Pretty exciting time to be a Nittany Lion right now.
