Dont forget, dont lose to unranked Iowa.
That was inconsequential. Had we beaten Iowa but lost to OSU, we still would have been left out.

Unbiased refs to call the Mich v OSU game......

You need a quarterback. Even if Michigan beat OSU this year there was no way they were getting past Clemson or Bama.

I disagree. I think our defense was as strong, or stronger, than many recent champions and our QB play has been as good as some of the recent Bama championship teams. The thing we've been missing is an elite RB that can close out a game and get tough yards when needed.

Lol. No. Your boy couldn't have carried Coker's jock and that's not saying much. Face it. Michigan was a step below Bama and Clemson. Clemson proved it when they mudholed Ohio state.

Better O-Line

Fracois has to become elite, which I think he has a good chance to do with an improved line.

You aren't going to replace Cook, it can't happen, but they need Patrick to step up, and maybe Akers could make an impact as a freshmen.

Georgia

1. Nick Saban suddenly retires and an lot of recruits flip their commitment
2. Those stud o-linemen coming in for this recruiting class must be elite immediately out of the gate
3. Jacob Eason shows some true progression after a full season and offseason. Can't be afraid to put it in his hands with the game on the line.
4. The defense improved throughout the year last season and it will be a veteran group this season and they have a full year under Mel Tucker's system. Play like a veteran unit
5. Don't have that Georgia moment that seems to happen every year.
6. Show up against Florida

The things that need to fall for Nebraska is a massive meteor shower striking both coasts, the Gulf of Mexico Coast, and the areas east of the Mississippi River.

That should do it.

A QB that can halfway fill Deshaun's cleats and a new DL coach, ours is retiring and he was a great recruiter and coach.

An offense that plays at it's best for the entire game

Better offensive line

Need to find some replacements on a mostly strong defense.

The rest of the Mountain west has to improve

We have to go unbeaten which means not losing random games.

Also need a little help with some chaos in other conferences as well

Right, if Hunter Johnson works out as well as the "experts" think he will, then the Tigers could potentially be in the playoffs again. Williams is a big loss by Clemson but Clemson has had the best WR recruiting for a while. The next star will just have to step up like Williams did after Sammy Watkins and Watkins did after Jacoby Ford/Deandre Hopkins.

But to repeat, which is unlikely, Clemson needs:

1.) Hunter Johnson (or the two 4 star QBs) to step up and lead the team.
2.) Venables not to bail ship
3.) Someone to replace Boulware
4.) A new center
5.) FSU not to be as good as I suspect they will be
