Maybe give my SPURS a tiny little bit of credit please

They are the only team to beat the Warriors four times in the last 3 years of this W's excellence run

Call me crazy.....

But, maybe this is also possibly about the Spurs being a reasonably good team.

This is not just about GS magically being bad. They did not play the 76ers after all.

I still believe that if the Spurs would have met the Warriors last year they had the best chance to beat them, even though the Thunder played amazing. I also think the Spurs would have given the Cavs problems

Nope. Your organization is in shambles. I mean Tim Duncan refused to suit up last night. Pop said he was going to fine him every day he's gone. Bunch of ego maniacs on your team. Get it together guys.

So if that is the best thing to happen to them all year, does that mean they won't win the title?????

As savvy as I think Cuban is in business- I just don't think he understands how to put a winning basketball team together. I think he had more luck than anything else the season they actually won.
You're right... Cuban has no idea how to put a winning team together.

And McGee isn't the answer as their rim protector......he hasn't done much since 2012-2013.

I don't think it will have an effect at all other than the Spurs made an announcement. Popovic showed the Warriors their weaknesses right off but not everyone will be able to exploit them the way the Spurs can and of course the Warriors will have better shooting nights.

I was expecting to see a bit more of MCCaw early. He is no big, but he is really long and energetic. I think he can definitely help contribute some perimeter defense in the second unit. Livingston and aight also played poorly last night.
well thats insane considering he is a rookie.

I ll bet you that Mccaw averages less than 12 minutes a game this season. Rookies almost NEVER help championship teams. 2nd round rookies pretty much NEVER. To hype this guy as an actual contributor as a rookie is extremely unfair to him and is also delusional.

The problem is GS is worse than last year and i said this from the beggining....They didn't need KD, they needed a big rebounder and defender like a gasol or Howard to give more shots to curry, thompson and green....And keep the team that fit perfectly together

Durant is just taking shots that Curry, Thompson and Green would be taking at the same %....they gained nothing on offense and lost out on rebounding, bench and defense

These are some valid points for sure.

I thought the same. The Spurs won 67 games last year, but no one remembers. And they are probably better this year. Vegas has them at like 6-1 to win the title and the Ws 2-3 although those odds surely have shifted after last night.

Still the Spurs are probably the best value bet to win it all. My new prediction: Ws have a 35% chance to win it, Cavs 30%, Spurs 25%, Clips 5%, 5% the rest

Mark Cuban has sat on his hands the past few years as the Mavericks continue to wallow in mediocrity.

He can't get anyone to come play for the lousy Dallas Mavericks. Why did Dirk stay? he should of went to a title contender and got another ring.

You are a real piece of work.

McCaw did not play in the first half. He is a good defender and made some nice defensive plays when he came into the game.

I don't think he should average more than 15 minutes per game. I only said that he should get a few minutes for his defensive energy, which clearly the Warriors lacked on Tuesday.

Maybe if you were not such an a-hole people would take you more seriously. Absolutely no reason to attack my post like that. I have not hyped him anywhere. You want to read more into the post than what is actually there and then start a confrontation about it.

I really think everyone is over-complicating this.

Warriors had a bad night against a great team and lost by 30.

If they meet again and the Spurs have a bad night, it will be San Antonio who loses by 30.

It's happened before.

well your being delusional.

if you really think McCaw will produce this season as a rookie on a title contender- come up with a bet and let me know.

I mean- the funny thing is- y ou didnt say i am wrong- becuase you know i am right.

point to a couple examples of rookies that made meaningful contributions on championship contending teams- ESPECIALLY ones from the 2nd round.

its just funny- because i am confident that 5-6 months from now at the end of the season i will be quoting this post and i will be absolutely 100% percent right- and you will once again look like a complete fool

And its not like i have anything against McCaw- its simply applying very SIMPLE and BASIC logic. 2nd round picks almost NEVER help. McCaw will NOT be the exception. Book it.

McCaw's play impressed the team so much that they elected to keep 70 big men on the roster instead of adding another wing player. They feel that he could produce for them right away and Kerr even made the recent comments that they need to actually find a way to get him on the court. The Warriors really only have 5 guards: Curry, Thompson, Livingston, Clark and McCaw. They have their SF/PF combo guys in Durant and Iguodala. They have Draymond, Pachulia, West, Looney, Varaejo, McAdoo, Jones and McGee as their bigs. If they Warriors didn't trust McCaw to play early and often, there's no way Varaejo or McAdoo is on this roster right now. They would have been cut to add another wing player.

I agree 2nd round picks typically don't make much of an impact but there will be plenty of times McCaw has his number called this year in meaningful minutes (not garbage time). It's hard to quantify what your definition of "produce" will be.

Is he likely to play minutes in a playoff scenario? Probably not. Is he likely to play and produce for a team to help make the playoffs? That is much more likely.

well we shall see at the end of the year right?

Kay Felder supposedly looked great in the preseason ( i wouldnt know since i didnt watch). 2nd rounder- Gilbert paid the most money ever for a 2nd round pick--- and he has a WIDE OPEN path to a prominant role as the backup point guard- and i would be absolutely SHOCKED AND AMAZED if he "plays and produces for a team to help make the playoffs" this year.

I just dont really remember cases of 2nd round rookies playing in the rotation of a championship contending team. I mean- if you guys mean he might play 20 minutes every third game on the 2nd night of a back to back- yah--- sure. If you think he is going to be a regular part of the rotation and get double digit minutes a game you have been smoking a lot of crack.
