Speaking of trades Jon Gruden said that if the Broncos offense continues to struggle he thinks the Broncos should trade for Jay Cutler or Tony Romo. If our offense continues to struggle then to me time to just give the rookie his game time experience and see what he can do and build for next year. Yes we want to win this season but the cap ramifications would definitely destroy possible future years down the road.

Cutler has proven he can handle the system but there is too much drama between broncos and Cutler. Also, the turnovers and unable to stay healthy.

Romo is probably done. Too many back injuries at his age to come back and not get injured again.

Yeah the Cutler deal just would never happen as neither side wants to revisit that. Plus Cutler's contract actually makes that one near impossible. Broncos would have to do some cap magic to make that one happen. And considering the injury history of both Cutler and Romo especially right now since both have missed numerous games already it just makes very little sense.

I'm totally with you on this. If the offense continues to struggle AND QB play is a big part of why, start playing for the future now and give Lynch the reigns. I'd rather just see them bring their level of play to where it needs to be.

Crick was probably the worst player for Denver last night. He was getting blown back in the run game and he wasn't able to keep Osweiler from escaping up the middle. I think it would be a good idea to get Sheldon if we can.

Romo can't stay healthy behind best line in NFL. It makes so much sense to have even a thought by anyone for him to play with a bad line pure genius idea. Media guys are not smart.

Cutler for real the guy is a mental midget with no leadership skills. While he would do good in this offense and has the skillset that's all he has.

Do you think Cutler's dad would have the nads to come back and pick up a playbook at dove valley. :)

The thing also about bringing in a dlineman compared to a qb or offensive lineman is the plug and play ability. Offensive line needs continuity and reps with the whole offensive unit to get going and really get comfortable. That goes about 100x more for the qb and the nuances of run checks, offensive scheme, and chemistry with the WR. A dlineman, especially in our non-complex react over thinking defensive scheme, could make an immediate impact compared to an offensive piece. With Richardson in instead of Crick, we would not have given up nearly the run yards we did last night and would have kept brock from escaping up the middle multiple times.

I am biased though. I love richardson. always have. the year he came up he was my number 1 hope for denver.

To me more than anything that great DE opposite Wolfe is what this defense is missing more so in the run game than in the pass game. You are right Crick was getting blown back last night. That left side was wide open most of the game. He isn't the only one responsible as I saw Marshall take a terrible angle trying to make a big play and where he was supposed to be the RB hit that spot and had a huge gain. Shane Ray had some times where he just couldn't quite hold the edge like we needed him to but all in all it was Crick getting blown back that made that a major weakness for a team to attack.

I still doubt Elway would do the deal but I just think it is one that makes sense for the Broncos. For the Jets it all depends on if they still see their playoff chances being alive. If they do then trading a talented player like Richardson is not worth it. If they see this as a lost year and time to start rebuilding then getting something like a 2nd round pick for Richardson makes a ton of sense.

I haven't heard much from Gotsis, but maybe the Broncos think he will be ready to play instinctively by the end of the season.

If he isn't getting any reps, with the mediocrity that winn and crick have been giving us, i don't think they think he is ready.

I would love, love, love for the Broncos to pull off a trade for Richardson. If the Jets would do it for a second round pick (which is the rumor) I would make that deal so fast before they had time to reconsider. Adding Richardson would help the run d and he could get more push up the middle, which would keep qb's from stepping up and allowing guys like Miller, Ray, and Ware to get around that edge and pick up sacks.

Honestly this makes sense much sense from Denver's standpoint that for that reason it probably won't happen. But I can dream. Two years with Richardson, then by that time hopefully Gotsis has turned into a great d lineman.

I'm really going to be pulling for the Browns to knock off the Jets this weekend, if they can do that then the Jets should realize their season is done and be more willing to make this deal.

I would guess if they were going to do a trade a deal would have to be in place before the game. With the trade deadline this coming Tuesday that doesn't leave much time to get such a significant deal done. That was part of the problem last year with Joe Thomas was that both sides just kind of ran out of time before any kind of agreement could happen. From what I understand that deal was about as close to being done as can be without it actually happening.
