Pick the Podium - United States Grand Prix, Circuit of the Americas, Austin, TX 2016

Formula One makes its only appearance this week-end at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. This race is on my bucket list and one of these years... We shall see who can get to the podium and whether Rosberg lengthens his championship lead over Hamilton or not.

In FP2, Rosberg and Hamilton have been split by Ricciardo. Could this be the race where Ricciardo takes the win? We shall see.

Also, the race is here in the States and therefore is run from 2:00pm-4:00pm local time as opposed to the usual early Sunday mornings we are accustomed to with Euro/Asia races.

Red Bull rolling the strategy dice, will be interesting to see how it goes. Daniel on the softer tires starting third. If Lewis gets a bum start again, Daniel is on the preferred line.

Hard to match the Merc power on the straights though.

Yep, Hamilton takes the pole over Rosberg and Ricciardo. This could be Hamilton's move to assault Rosberg's lead.

As the Brit broadcasters say, a STONKING lap from Lewis for pole.

Since I need to make up ground, I'll go Lewis, Ricciardo, Rosberg.

My wet dream would be Lewis, Ricciardo, Dutchie but that's too much to ask for.

Gonna be tough squeezing in the race in mid NFL Sunday though. A dirty job but I think I'm up to the task.

Dallas has the week off so that's one less must see game for me.

Hamilton takes it over Rosberg and Ricciardo finishes third. The Mercs have too much for any other competitors and their Constructor's Championship is secured for a second year in-a-row. Just three races left in the season and Hamilton is a comin'!

Nope 43. That may be your perspective but I pick the top three based on a number of factors. If we pick the same selections, it is primarily a coincidence and not a direct selection by me to "maintain the gap" as you assert.
